A: You get the membership for the first month for free just for buying the ring. If you choose not to renew you only are able to access sleep, readiness, and activity scores. You won’t get access to the symptom radar, stress insights or other features. I’m not even sure if without the membership if you can access the details of your sleep or it’s just a score. Hope this helps!
Q: Does the black get scuffed or scratched easily?
A: I have the 3 in black have not had it a year and it is all scratched up. It looks horrible. I hope the 4 is made better

A: I read one review - can't remember where now, maybe thewirecutter.com - that said it hurt the reviewer's hand to wear while lifting, but was recommended otherwise. Regarding scratch protection, there are a ton of silicon covers available from third parties.

A: The website says that it can be worn on any finger but for the most accurate data, wear it on your pointer, middle, or ring finger of either hand.

A: I got the protection because it covers everything except fire and theft I believe. Yeah the coverage was expensive but the ring itself was way way more. If the battery quits on me for whatever reason I would want a replacement

Happy I purchased this!
I’ve had the Oura ring in the color Stealth for a few weeks now and I’m enjoying the insight it provides on my health and well-being. I like the looks of this style and have to say it’s quite comfortable. It’s sturdy and have not had issues with scratches on the surface as of yet. The battery life is good, but with that being said, I do charge it every day while I shower. By the time I’m done, the ring is fully charged again. Every morning I look at my sleep tracking and readiness score and add my tags. I’m sure I will continue to enjoy this ring for a long time!

Oura Ring 4 One Year Later
After wearing the Oura Ring 4 (Stealth, Size 11) every day for the past year, I can confidently say it’s one of the few pieces of tech I forget I’m even using — and I mean that in the best way. Battery life has been solid, though not quite what the specs promise. With Bluetooth and location always on, I consistently get about 4 to 6 days on a charge. It’s not a dealbreaker, but just know it’s more like twice-a-week charging than once. What’s really impressed me is the durability. I wear it during workouts, sleep, and even while doing yard work, and it’s held up incredibly well. After a full year, the ring only has a few faint hairline scratches — nothing you’d notice unless you’re looking closely. The stealth finish still looks clean and low-key. The biggest improvement, though, is the sensor accuracy. Sleep tracking feels noticeably smarter and more in tune with how I actually feel in the morning. Activity tracking is also much more consistent — heart rate, steps, and readiness scores all line up well with other wearables I’ve tested. If you’re looking for a minimalist, no-fuss health tracker that nails the basics and stays out of your way, the Oura Ring 4 is still a great choice a year later.
