ACTUAL RATING: 3.8 Stars PROS: -Cooks fast -Large enough to cook bigger meals -Much lighter than my previous microwaves -Good price CONS: -LCD numbers can be hard to read at angles -Sometimes, inconsistent heating results (example in the full review below) $.02: I purchased this microwave to replace my 15-year-old SHARP and was in the market for something similar: easy to use, straightforward, no crazy functions, consistent, good heat results, and most importantly, the best bang for the buck! After researching a lot of different devices, I landed on this bad boy since it ticked off much of my boxes, and so far it’s been good with one major flaw. It’s big enough to put in full meals with enough room to spare. It’s not so heavy that lifting it to clean is such a chore. When heating meals, it does what it claims to do and ensures the middle is well heated MOST OF THE TIME. However, there are some instances that it doesn’t heat consistently. For example, I have to heat a rice sock up at least two times a day to put on my dog, so as to bring some blood to the surface for a blood sample for his diabetic glucose checks. I have noticed that every time I put it in for :35 it comes out with different temps. Sometimes, it’s scalding hot, sometimes it’s barely warm. The same goes for bigger meals. Now, we can argue it can be due to the food and the density of it, but the rice sock is the same every time, and every time, I get different results, and that in itself is very annoying. That is a pretty hard flaw in my opinion, as it is the base function of the device, hence docking one full star. Another small gripe is the LCD screen and it is very difficult to see from angles. However, that is being nitpicky, but hey, this is a review right? Overall, with using this device for 6+ months, it’s been a pretty solid device to use, and would recommend anyone to pick it up, just be wary of the inconsistencies of the heating results. TL;DR: After using it for 6+ months, a good microwave with no frills for the price. However, inconsistent heating results and hard to read LCD screen.

Researched hard my choice for a new microwave. Clearly, I made the right choice. Looks, size, abilities all great. When it gets right down to it…heats/cooks in record time without burning, drying out your food. Easy to learn for this senior woman.

I love this microwave. Seriously. I am a person who has high expectations of everything I buy, and this Panasonic 1.6 Cubic Ft 1250 Watt SN77HS Microwave "with Cyclonic Inverter" (whatever, lol) is absolutely fantastic. Not at all too loud; there was a review that said it is loud and they must just be super picky regarding noise. I don't mess too much with the controls, just use full power for appropriate time - and that works great, just fyi. Large capacity, easy to use and clean, and reasonable price. Get this microwave and send me a check to thank me. Ha! ;)

Needed to replace my 21 year old Panasonic microwave. I wanted another Panasonic that was the same size with similar features. My research paid off because this one fits the bill and then some. I couldn’t be happier. Lots of features. Great results. And a great sale price from Best Buy. He’s to another 20 years.

We have long had Panasonic inverter technology microwaves- our last one was with us nearly 10 years-maybe longer. Cooks pretty evenly if things are positioned appropriately. The size is great- I can reheat a casserole dish or a big dinner plate no problem. Quick reheat of waffles without drying from when kids run late or quick hot water for coffee when mom is behind schedule. Buttons easy to read and easy to press. I love how door latch opens with one push of a button- hopes it stays that way! It seems like a small thing but when holding something to feed hungry folks, it makes a big difference if I can do a one-handed open versus putting my dish down to open door then pick stuff up again.

This purchase was to replace a smaller Panasonic that finally failed after 10+ years. We like the initial setup option that enables turning off the annoying beep when the cook timer expires. A nice enhancement would be to enable setting the beep volume level. While the unit performs well, we are disappointed with the following characteristics. The display is a very dimly lit blue, which is nearly impossible to read from a few feet away. Our previous Panasonic had a bright white display which could be read from across the room. Having the ability to set the brightness level would be a great enhancement. The other thing we don't like is the loud slam when the microwave door is closed. We found this can be eliminated by holding in, and then releasing, the door open button while closing the door. Our previous Panasonic did not make as much noise when closing the door. Some sort of cushioning should be used to reduce the annoying slam when closing the door.

This microwave is a good size and does what I need. It looks good and is easy to operate. Because its footprint is smaller than my previous Samsung 2.2 microwave, I have reclaimed some counter space. I like that a lot.

We previously owned almost this exact model, and have had it for several years. Once a fuse was repeatedly blowing, we decided to replace with same model since we enjoyed the capacity of the previous one. One difference is the dim LED light inside, which makes for a dim microwave. The color inside is different as well, not an issue. Also would like it if keypad was lit up, but still not an option.

Love this microwave. Great price point for this size and quality of product. Very large interior for use in cooking or reheating large casserole dishes. I make micro au gratin potatoes this way. Controls are easy and intuitive. My guests recently were impressed by the heating power and speed. Buy this microwave without hesitation - you will love it!

This is a very Great Microwave. The cooking performance is A+ Stellar Performance. Easy clean up of the device. Great ventilation. And great temperature control when cooking certain products. Read the manual thoroughly and this $200 plus investment Microwave will last for a while. I've had mines thus far for 1 month. it's doing great.

Works great but not as big as i thought. This was a replacement of one that inside peeled. This one doesn’t have coated inside which is good. I don’t like the blue light display it’s hard to see unless you’re right up on it. The other had settings on panel, this one you have to select number for setting which more difficult, I have to refer to manual. Overall it’s a good microwave

We’ve had this microwave about a month and a half now. So far, everything has been working great. Many options give it lots of versatility, but you can also just set it up for basic standard operation and it’s as simple to use as you’d want. We’re very happy with it.

To be honest, we are very light users of microwave ovens. Popcorn, backed potatoes, and reheating coffee. Things like that. So far no serious cooking. It has done everything perfectly so far. I agree with some critics who question the very dim display but that would not stop me from buying it. So far, very pleased with it.

We had an older model of this microwave for about 15 years and we got this to replace it. It's a lot like the older model but the door is easier to close and the light inside is not so bright. Works like a charm, just like the last one.

Would have given 5 stars, but the front door does have a very little loosness to it. You can push the front door up a bit on the right side to get it to align to the right panel. The isue is that the door does not align perfectly to the right side panel. The door hangs about 1/32 inches lower on the right side where it is not aligned to the right panel area. The unit works great. We are very impressed how the 1250 watts of heating of an item is outstanding with the Cyclonic Intverter technology. The food is cooked evenly throughout, no hot spots. We also love that we can enter on the keypad the exact amount of seconds we want, i.e. 13 seconds, etc. Other microwave units force you to increament time by 5 or 10 second increments. I'm just worried about the loosness of the front door where its a smiggon unaligned, will it get looser. Time will tell.

Replaced 15yr + old one and happy with new one. Fits in old place and I kept old turntable as a possible replacement if needed. Only weird thing is gray interior and funny lighting on interior. Easier to set the timer now.

Great replacement for the small space we had. Very deep for its height. Love the sensor cook feature!

We are very pleased with this microwave. It may even have a little more power than the one (of a different brand) that it is replacing.

This microwave is the direct replacement for the one we had. Our last one lasted 9 years. We are very happy with this product from Panasonic with a good value offered from Best Buy

Work as should. Good size. Cooks food really fast and boils ramen water very well
