About this product
Meddle is the sixth studio album by English progressive rock group Pink Floyd, released on 31 October 1971 by Harvest Records. It was produced between the band's touring commitments, from January to August 1971. The album was recorded at a series of locations around London, including Abbey Road Studios and Morgan Studios. - With no material to work with and no clear idea of the album's direction, the group devised a series of novel experiments which eventually inspired the album's signature track, InchEchoesInch. Although many of the band's later albums would be unified by a central theme with lyrics written mainly by Roger Waters, Meddle was a group effort with lyrical contributions from each member, and is considered a transitional album between the Syd Barrett-influenced group of the late 1960s and the emerging Pink Floyd. The cover, incorporating a close-up shot of an ear underwater was, as with several previous albums, designed by Hipgnosis, though Storm Thorgerson was unhappy with the final result. • Original vinyl packaging has been lovingly replicated with special care • Features seminal track InchEchoesInch which fills a complete side of vinyl • Original vinyl packaging has been lovingly replicated with special care • Pressed on 180 gram vinyl for optimum stereo sound quality • Gatefold sleeve Album Tracks 1. One of These Days 5 54 2. A Pillow of Winds 5 12 3. Fearless 6 07 4. San Tropez 3 43 5. Seamus 2 14 6. Echoes 23 32

Two CDs including eight bonus tracks. Digitally remastered and expanded edition. In 1987, Pink Floyd made a triumphant resurgence. The legendary British band, formed in 1967, had suffered the loss of two co-founders. The gauntlet was thus laid down for guitarist/singer David Gilmour and drummer Nick Mason, who proceeded to create the multi-platinum A Momentary Lapse Of Reason album, a global chart smash, which also saw the return of Richard Wright to the fold. Originally released in September 1987, A Momentary Lapse Of Reason was quickly embraced by fans worldwide. As a record of the creative power of David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright at their incendiary best, Pink Floyd's Delicate Sound of Thunder is an engrossing and uplifting event, to be enjoyed by any rock music fan.
