A: I have a back up camera and mine goes right into rear camera mode as soon as I put the car in reverse and then right back into radio modes as I take it out of reverse.
Q: How much will it cost to have it installed by Geek Squad
A: Yes you have to buy an HDMI cord a high-speed one at that was minimal cost about $70 if you want to get what I paid like $100 for mine and you need to buy the converter for the iPhone .. And you will pay another hundred dollars for the installation alone and you have to make sure that that your car is set up for it so you have to buy the double din holster specified for your car
Q: does the unit have built in gps or do you need a phone to use gps
A: GPS is NOT built in. It relies off of a compatible smartphone. The unit does have a built in GPS antenna to better provided GPS accuracy in conjunction with a smartphone
Q: Does this come with Apple CarPlay installed?
A: You have to have a 5s-6 iphone to access. Only pandora, phone, is completely untethered. Apple should have all untethered eventually. Didn't affect me much because I always charge my phone anyway in the car. At that point appradio is connected. Oh, and yes CarPlay happens soon as your phone is connected..already installed.
Q: Does your car need internet or wifi
A: No - it uses your cell phone to get internet access for spotify, Pandora or google play music
Q: Does it allow you to text through voice
A: Yeah
Q: Does this allow voice to text
A: I just use Apple Car Play on this deck, and yes, your messages are translated voice to text. Incoming messages are read to you by Siri. The whole point of Car Play is to minimize distraction, Siri is a huge part of that.

A: This unit will play audible audio books.
