In Africa for a long vacation. This little box is a total life-saver.

This was a handy gadget because it worked as both an adapter and as a converter. Instructions were clear. It worked great in Scotland and looks like it should work for our upcoming trip to eastern Europe. The only negative is the high price.

I have used a travel converter that required pieces to fit various foreign plugs. The tend to come loose and easily become unplugged due to the weight of the converter. The Platinum solved all those problems and the tow USB ports are a big plus. The size could have been a tad smaller but it was easy to pack with no problems. Do settle for a cheap converter. You get what you pay for. This is worth every penny.

The best part about this device is that everything is in one little box I don't need a bag full of little adapters it works great as a converter and as an adapter when I travel overseas the only downfall to these is that their large and rather heavy and some of the ports overseas don't want to support how heavy it is but then again every adapter converter I've owned has been pretty large and bulky this way

This product worked great for us while we were traveling abroad. We didnt need to use the converter so I can't speak to how well that works. The only con to this product is that it is very bulky so you have to be careful while plugging things to it since it can easily fall out of the wall socket. I did like that it included 2 USB ports in addition to the plug.

I bought this adapter/converter because I was going to Ireland and bringing all of my devices. The adapter feature ended up being al I needed, since my Samsung phone, MacBook Pro, and Sony camera battery charger all were ok with the electrical current supplied in Ireland. The converter would have been needed for a blow dryer or other small electrical device, which I did not bring. Most hotels provide these. The device gives you many options: adapter for a variety of plug configurations, an option to convert the circuit and two USB ports. The only plug adapter I used was for Ireland and the UK, but I will keep this gadget and be able to use it if I travel to other places. I thought it was a good value and met my needs perfectly.

I really liked that it was an all in one compact unit. The 2 USB ports were the main reason I chose this converter and I used them a lot to charge my phone and camera as well as to run a small travel fan. The only reason I didn't give this item 5 stars was because I wish it was a little smaller in size- but it still worked ok.

Took this guy on a trip to Europe. Works flawlessly in England, German, and Czech. Only drawback is the price. At $50 it’s pretty steep but you get what you pay for...

Works great, but is a bit bulky and does get hot if you leave it plugged in for too long. It's also on the pricier side compared to other highly rated ones you can find on Amazon, but many reviews I read for those similar products complained that they were loud, and I haven't have that problem at all. If price isn't a factor I would highly recommend this.

I purchased this for a trip to Europe and it has been great. The adapter is used for our cell phones & laptops — with the 2 USB ports and 1 outlet we have 3 devices going at once. I’m glad I purchased the all-in-one with the Converter to use with my hair dryer and flat iron. This is so useful I wish I had bought two!

Everything you need is in this one unit so I don’t have to worry about losing various pieces. The 4 rating is due to it being a little heavy when placed in outlets and it wasn’t snug.

My wife bought this for her trip to China. Was a little confusing at first due to the levers used to change plug settings made it seem like these were used to change it from an adapter to a converter. Worked well, and didn’t fry any computers or phones. The USB ports were very helpful.

A bit on the heavy side. I could have done ok charging ithings and phones with a smaller adapter but this one gave an option of using a hair dryer in France

I bought this item during an online sale and was pleasantly surprised at how lightweight and compact it was. It is easy to use, with intuitive manipulations for different country electrical outlet style. The 2 USB ports are very helpful for charging smartphones and iPads.

We used this adapter/converter throughout Italy. We traveled with another couple who had their adapter/converter device stolen (long story). In any event, they had to use our adapter/converter and we were able to charge 3 mobile phones on the adapter setting completely overnight. Then in the morning the women changed the setting to converter and were able to use their hair dryers and curling irons.

Great adapter that is compact and handy for travel. The addition of the USB ports and the overall size are what make this adapter great.

Used on a trip to Europe and the UK. Great to have all the plugs in one package and US outlet. The USBx2 were definitely very useful.

We were able to use either the USB ports or the outlet for our USA devices and cell phones for charging. The device could really use an offset though as every outlet in New Zealand and Australia had switches so adjacent that trying to plugin this adapter would often switch off the outlet. It was a struggle to balance the device so that it would receive power and not shut off the socket.

We took this to Iceland to keep things charged. We got a powered 6 port USB so we only needed the one adapter. My wife used it as a converter for her hair dryer and it worked great. Got a little warm during use, but not hot.
