My prior GPU was an RTX 3090. Although it had 24 GB VRAM compared to the 16 GB VRAM of the 5080, the 5080 is still a massive step up. The new GDDR7 compared to the GDDR6X is much more efficient with higher bandwidth, allowing for a more seamless experience when playing. This card also uses less power than my 3090 did, making my whole system less at risk of using too much power. When it comes to gaming, this is where I was blown away. I recently upgraded to a Ryzen 7 9800x3D CPU, and combined with the 5080, this machine is now an absolute beast. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered released in April of 2025, and is notoriously difficult to run. Not for this card. Running through my TV (120Hz) at 4K (3840x2160) on Ultra settings with maxed ray tracing still gives me a full maxed 120 FPS. I enabled frame generation, expecting to see some blur or artifacts, but shockingly the card produces an extremely smooth framerate with no noticeable "fakeness" to it. The temperatures also stay incredibly cool. Running Oblivion Remastered at 4K/120FPS was still keeping my GPU around 60-70C. My 3090 would be hitting 80C or higher at 1440p. The one potential issue you may have is making sure your power supply can handle this. My PSU was purchased in 2021, but was new enough to purchase the proper 12V connector from Corsair to properly power this graphic's card. The 5080 DOES come with a proper adapter (3x8 pin PCI), but I found it much neater to and more efficient to buy the official Corsair adapter for my PSU (2x8 pin PCI to 12V in one cable). The card is also MUCH longer than my 3090 was. My 3090 left space on the right side of my case, but you can see in the attached image that my GPU stretches the entire length of my case. Make sure you have the space needed, because it's a big card. Thankfully, I was able to handle the card and power needed to run this. It's a high end card for high end machines, and I'm incredibly satisfied with it. Compared to my 3090, this card runs dramatically better, cooler, and with less power usage. If you can handle it, I highly recommend this card.

No RGB but it was not required for my setup. Great performance with very little noise. Card is much bigger then old 3080FE

I am so impressed by this GPU because it stays cool and performs exceptional. Paired it from my 7800x3d with 34” 1440p OLED monitor. No regrets. PNY never disappoints. It is so silent too. No RGB is +++++. Just keep in mind that this Monster is 3 slot thick. And the pricing is very great.
I upgraded to the PNY RTX 5080 for my heavy sim racing setup, and it has completely blown my expectations away. Running a triple monitor configuration requires massive graphical power, and this card handles it like a breeze. I get rock-solid, ultra-smooth frame rates in iRacing even with maxed-out settings and a full grid of cars on track. The triple fan cooling system keeps the card incredibly quiet and at excellent temperatures during long, multi-hour endurance races. PNY did a fantastic job with the build quality—it feels premium, looks sleek in black, and the GDDR7 memory architecture provides incredible bandwidth. If you are looking for a top-tier GPU for professional gaming or demanding VR/sim setups, this is the one to get. Worth every penny!

The PNY RTX 5080 OC is an absolute sleeper card once you toss out the stock settings and actually tune the silicon with an undervolt and overclock. While it ships as a basic, no-frills model, it clearly has tons of hidden headroom. Dropping the core voltage down 0.975mV while locking the core clock at a flat 3100MHz completely changes the efficiency profile. It bypasses the aggressive voltage-frequency curve that causes these modern cards to pull unnecessary wattage and dump massive heat into the case. Combined with +2000MHz memory clock offset, the expanded bandwidth allows the GPU to sustain those high clocks under heavy 4K loads without hitting power or thermal limits. The fans actually run at a reasonable RPM because the undervolt keeps the hotspot temperatures well within check, usually running around 62c while gaming in a well ventilated case and room temps in the low 70s. Pairing this GPU with the Ryzen 7 9800X3D removes any remaining bottlenecks. The massive 3D V-Cache on the 9800X3D keeps the frame render queue entirely full, resulting in a perfectly flat frametime graph with practically nonexistent micro-stutters. Even in simulation-heavy titles or unoptimized open-world engines that normally choke a CPU, the 1% lows remain incredibly high. Whether you are running native path tracing or pushing a high-refresh-rate panel, this hardware combination handles everything effortlessly. The only negative is the current pricing environment of PC parts, all things considered though, I would buy this GPU again.

Had a xfx 9070xt. Nothing worng with the previous card just wanted to upgrade. Kinda pricey but worth the money. Noticeable difference in ray tracing amd lighting. No need to worry about not having DLSS support in most games unlike radeons unsupported fsr4 in many games. Noticed 40 fps boost across all games in upscaling on 4k. No need to overclock yet as this card is enough for anything ive thrown at it. This card runs at 330-340w at full loaf. Also the fans are very quiet. I dont regret buying this card i think i should have spent another 60 bucks for the rgb version

Been building pc's since the 3dfx Voodoo days and PNY is one if the og's. Card worked out of the box using the latest drivers, no issues as the internet says. Runs cool and quiet, no coil whine. Performance gains were huge coming from a Powercolor 6800XT. No rgb wich is a plus, came with 16v to 3x8 pin adapter so im not worried about fires, and the best part, got it at msrp. Going into a batman build with an AMD 9800X3D.

First 50 series card and I must say I’m impressed. This card is a fraction of most 5080 cards and it performs great. Advertised base clock of 2.6 GHz but I’ve seen 2.8 as my base and I can overclock to 3.1 with no issues. This card has been amazing. And with DLSS 4.5, this card shines in 4k gaming with no issues. Wish it had some more VRAM but you need this card!!!

Gpu works as expected, putting out solid performance. Considering its cheaper than the mainstream brands its well worth the buy as it performs just as the more expensive flashy cards. Well built and has very good thermals even put under heavy loads.

Upgraded from an R9 so I saw a huge improvement. The card is definitely larger and heavier, it comes with a support and you will need to use it. The card runs hotter than my old one but it doesn't get as hot as some of the reviews have said online. Im getting 92FPS in Forza 6, 4k with settings turned to max. Fairly easy to install just make sure you have plenty of room in your case.

I was fortunate enough to get this when it was still $999. That was the only way I intended on getting a 5080 as I was coming from a 3090 which still plays everything just fine. Whether or not it's worth it at $500 more is up to you. That being said, this jump is pretty fantastic. Playing Maxed out Doom: The Dark Ages at 4K 150+ fps w/ 2x frame gen is an incredible experience. Everything I try to play I see massive uplift. On top of that, it is remarkably efficient. When playing graphically intensive games, it is typically using under 300 watts while chilling in the 50s-low 60s. Not to mention the overclocking, my god. Insane noticeable uplift while not using much more power. Getting within 5-10% of the 4090 at a lower cost. I am very happy with that. Build quality is solid, and I still like the look of the GPU without the RGB. PNY really did well with this one. I wish they kept that price $999, but that's just how things are going now.

Tempatures are really good. A bit on the noisy side when fans are 100%. Performance is very good with a lot of fps hungry games even at high/ultra setting.

I am comparing this to my friend's nvidia 5080 fe card. This has better performance, you can see it in the benchmarks, and it is clocked higher. It does this while being less noisy. Although the noise of both cards are neglibile. Now the FE looks much better, and looks better built, but the pny isnt very bad. It comes with its own gpu mount, is is significantly larger. Takes up the entire width of my case. Only issue I have with it, it is a nitpick, the back of the gpu exposed outside smudges. This is rarely an issue, but when you touch it by mistake while connecting a dp / hdmi cable, it can be annoying. 5080 however, I would suggest you reconsider. I only got it because I wanted a card quickly, and this was available for pickup. The 5070ti does everything the 5080 does with an almost unnoticable difference in performance.

This is one of the few cards that is at MSRP and although it isn't one of the best looking, the build quality does feel nice and can look good with an all-black build. I was able to overclock the core to stay at ~3150mhz, I probably could have gone higher but wanted stability in actual gaming without tinkering too much. Memory was overclocked to 2000+, which didn't result in performance loss or stability issues despite seeming high and hitting the limit on MSI Afterburner. Supposedly, you can remove the memory limit and go beyond 2000+ but I didn't bother. The overclock resulted in a 10.2% fps difference in 3DMark Steel Nomad between PNY's stock OC and mine; the difference between a stock Nvidia FE 5080 is likely higher. The overclocking headroom of the 5080s makes the value proposition better (still isn't amazing), especially if you get this card at MSRP. Throughout the benchmarks the card stayed below 73C in my compact case and also the fans turn off completely when the card is not underload, which is nice for noise.

Bought the PNY RTX 5080 last year from Best Buy for a good deal, while others brands were priced super high PNY sold at msrp. I've had 5080 for over 7 months, daily usage, no issues to report. The card barley reaches 60 C under load @ 4K. Really good gpu, would recommend.

Im not sure why this is so cheap...maybe they have some deal with NVIDIA to keep the price low? Performs amazingly, is quiet and cool. Feel like I really lucked out snagging this at MSRP. Also it comes with a anti Dag bracket for the GPU.

This GPU has the best value for the 5080 series. I tested mostly all of them and this one has small flaws. The temps don't get higher than 70 degrees on average, it gets 65 on the AAA game. Overclocking it can boost up 15 frames using MSI Afterburner and doesn't cause any stress. Make sure you have a 1000 watts or higher for OC. The only flaw is that it takes a few minutes to configure the frame generation settings. You might need to restart the game or the software. It does feel cheap and but as long as you take care of it, you shouldn't worry at all.

I have been using this graphics card ever since I bought it, and I’ve pushed it to run at maximum performance—and I mean *maximum*—and it does not disappoint. It is extremely quiet and meets high standards in terms of both price and quality.
