A: There is no indicator, such as a light. At the back of the headset, there is a button you can press to mute yourself. If it's down, you are muted. If it's up, you are not. Other than that, there isn't a tell. I hope this helps.

A: Unless you’re buying the $100 headset the mic is not detachable. And yes it also has a noise cancellation.
A: I bought a $5.00 adapter for my IPhone and it worked seamlessly. Mic as well! It integrated without any issue and worked for talking on the phone and talk-to-text / dictation needs in specific apps.
