Customer Ratings & Reviews

The item is good itself, came in good packaging and everything you would expect Pros: it glides very well, it’s good for people with bigger sized hands, fits my hand well. Cons: the way my ring finger and pinky finger sit at the side of the mouse is u comfortable since it doesn’t have the inward design to it, but that’s my fault for not doing my research on the mouse. Overall a good mouse if you have bigger sized hands and need a affordable mouse for gaming!

This is just going to be a short review going over some QC issues I’ve had with the mouse. This is still a fairly new mouse so hopefully Razer can fix these issues in future batches. - So first off the removable shell of the mouse had a TON of wobble and it was really easy to feel it during regular usage almost like it was coming off at times. The wobble also caused left M1 button to feel really awful. Next there was a lot of rattle coming from the scroll wheel of the mouse which was also very loud and scratchy. Overall this just isn’t a mouse I’d recommend at the moment and if you like the DA shape I’d recommend either the wired V2 or wireless V2 Pro both which don’t have any of the issues I just mentioned.

I do not do wireless mice generally but finally wanted to get rid of the wire at work while still using the mouse I use at home. This was fantastic especially for the price point. Feels great, battery is long enough to not worry about it. No issues at all and does not light up at work which makes it fit in better in the environment.

The Razer DeathAdder V2 X HyperSpeed is a fantastic gaming mouse! It’s super responsive, lightweight, and fits perfectly in the hand. The battery life is incredible at 235 hours, and the HyperSpeed wireless connection is lag-free. Perfect for gaming and everyday use—highly recommend!

The V2 X Hyperspeed is a great ergo gaming mouse, meant for people with larger hands or who want to use palm grip (a comfortable way to hold a mouse by resting your palm and fingers on the shell of the mouse). The V2 X Hyperspeed is extremely similar to the Deathadder V2 Pro, Razer's more expensive wireless ergo offering. The key differences here (and the reasons one would want to buy this one) are the use of AA or AAA batteries, rather than a rechargeable onboard battery, a slightly heavier weight (around 100 grams with AA battery installed), and the cheaper price. Other differences include a lack of RGB lights anywhere on this mouse, the 2 DPI buttons being moved next to the left click, and a slightly different feeling in the main clicks due to mechanical switches. For the average person, most of these changes won't be a problem. This is, for all intents and purposes, a slightly heavier version of Razer's premium Deathadder at a lower cost. The overall feel of the mouse is very premium, with a grippy texture that resists fingerprints and grime pretty well. The AA battery means you won't have to worry about regularly charging the mouse, making it a good choice for use at the office for people who are already fans of the Deathadder shape. Bluetooth functionality means you can use this mouse with multiple devices or use this with a laptop without taking up a USB-A port. The standard USB-A dongle is also included for a lower latency connection. The sensor on this mouse is a high performance gaming sensor that will perform excellently for gaming as well as productivity use. For me personally, I picked this mouse up for use at work since i needed a large ergonomically shaped mouse to help alleviate pain in my wrist. For people with large hands looking for a comfortable mouse with good performance, this is perfect.

Pro's: -Nails the Deathadder shape. -Lightweight wireless option depending on what battery you use. -No crazy RGB unicorn puke. -PTFE feet. Cons -Per typical Razer, no onboard profiles so you'll need the Synapse bloatware running if you want to remap the dpi buttons on the top corner of the LMB. -Speaking of those two DPI buttons, they are kind of off to the side and are a bit sunken in. I can't easily tell which one I'm hitting and neither are very intuative. It's like a poorly attempted G502 gimmick. All in all, I would say if you really like the shape then just spend the extra few bucks and get the DA Wireless.

Lightweight, nice powder-coated feel, good ergonomics. Disappointed about no onboard profile management. That feature would make sense since this mouse can switch between the 2.4GHz wireless or Bluetooth; an ideal option for switching between computers. The Razer software to configure the mouse is Windows only. I’m also not happy that it immediately tries to install the software when plugging in for the first time. It’s more disruptive than convenient. The Logitech G603 might have been the better buy at this price.

Solid Mouse I enjoy the wireless capabilities a lot only problem is i’m not a big fan of the razer software.

I’ve always been using mouse with wire and generally okay with it, but ever since I decided to use this mouse, I have changed my mind on wireless mouse. I’d def recommend it

The mouse overall isn’t horrible, but after a couple months of use, the left mouse button no longer works well. It needs to be pressed firmly in near dead center to pick up a click. That is precisely where Razer placed the button for left click. If it will be uncomfortable for you to hold your hand there, dont buy it.

Welcome back Deathadder!! Last 2 version LF & RT buttons where too sensitive, too many accidentally button pressed. Not good while gaming. This one is back! Feels great. Battery last for ever. Wireless!! Love the 2 new button location. No more accidentally button press. Great price too!! Great for FPS games.

While I was initially thinking that this mouse was a great pick--one of the main reasons I bought it was to have a great, quick, and quiet scroll wheel--and the scroll wheel on this starting squeaking after owning it one day PLUS the way the case fits on the top seems to be the cause of why the rest of the mouse seems noisy as perhaps it's wobbling (to use another reviewer's wording). It also started to hurt my forearm and elbow on the very first day though the loud squeaking was a deal-breaker defect.

The Deathadder is a really good mouse. One thing i really love is the shape of the mouse. Good first mouse to get.

A very easy mouse to configure. Nice design and size. Highly recommended for gamers. Great product!

Is good, used primarily for games like first person shooters

An excellent upgrade from the regular Deathadder v2! Their new version of their mechanical switches are crisp and very responsive than the older predecessor. The best part is that it has the wireless hyper speed technology without breaking the bank.

Peffect replacement for my old Death Adder. Feels great and has strong connection

As with most Razer products, this one has defects with almost every unit i encountered. The first one the receiver didn’t work, so i ezchanged it. The second one the scroll wheel was very stiff and loud when scrolling up, but not down. The third gripe I have is a design complaint: that Razer did not put side grips on the mouse. This may be a budget wireless mouse, but at 60 dollars it is more than their wired v2 with side grips and other Razer “x” models like the Basilisk x hyperspeed has side grips. Why would razer cheap out and not include simple plastic or rubber side grips? Bad decision. All in all, with sales going around right now, I’d just go for the razer deathadder v2 pro if you want to stick with razer. Besides all that, i like the new placement of the dpi buttons and the clicky mechanical switches in lieu of the razer opticals.

Wireless is nice, but wired mouses are a bit better.

It’s cool, I just wish it’d light up for that price.
