I was looking to improve my cameras mic. I record presentations and didn't t want to spend big bucks for the nicer Rode mic. This is a great entry level mic for the price. I definitely like it.

A little high on the price. All in all it does what it says and is of good quality, super light and very absorbent to small vibrations and windy areas.

This product is great for people who don't like DSLR camera inbuilt audio which in my opinion sucks. This mic gives you way better audio quality. Best thing is that it doesn't need batteries and there is no on and off switch which helps in case you record and forgot to turn the button on. The built is nice way better that VIDEOMIC PRO, and the quality is good for the price tag. Go get one. ...

This is my first on camera microphone for my Rebel T3i. It picks up my voice really well when I am making a video. It cuts down on wind noise really proficiently. It was easy to mount, plug in and use. With a little bit of the manual audio changing. I was able to get the microphone to preform the way I wanted to. I would happily get this this mic again.

I recently purchased audio equipment to increase the production value of my videos. I bought this shotgun microphone after reading reviews on it and liking what I read! One thing I love is that this mic doesn't need batteries, it takes its power from whatever it is plugged into, saving me money and time in the long run. The audio quality it dishes out is great and the shock mount keeps it from picking up any vibrations. If you are shooting in a windy location, you might want to look into picking up a windscreen such as the "Deadcat GO" because they really help! The mic is also very easy to set up and use, making it perfect for the run-and-gun filmmaking that I do! I recommend this product to any videographer looking to increase their production value.

This saved my life as my internal microphone is not working on my canon 6d.....just plug in and go. Uses the battery from the camera. I would suggest having a back up battery. Otherwise sound quality is great.

Simply put this is a nice portable microphone. Just plug it in and go. The audio is crystal clear. Honestly, I haven’t had any Issues with interference. For those having issue with mic hiss. Just add a de- noise filter in post. I would recommend the wind screen as well. Alternatively you can and a high pass filter in post to eliminate the wind noise. The audio will come out perfect. Nice budget friendly mic!

This microphone is nice, but without the extra power from a battery, it's not quite as effective as the Video Mic Pro. If I had it to do over again, I'd save for a little longer and go with the Pro. It's good if you want to use it to sync audio from another recording source like a Tascam recorder.

Works very well..use with wide angles lenses so you can get closer. It'll thicken up the sound and will be perfect for post production after shooting. Love the price and the result. I experienced no wifi or bluetooth interference like other reviewers have said. My phone was right next to the camera and the wifi on my Mirrorless was on. Great buy!

Overall we have had great experience and great sound quality from this Rode VideoMic Go. We have a total 3 of these units and all have lasted well over a year. The addition of the Shock mount is a great plus. I hate to say this but we do a lot of mishandling (dropped cameras, etc) and a Rode has never stopped working (fingers crossed). As many great items there is a few negatives. if you have camera controls (buttons) next to the accessory shoe on your camera, be aware that it may block access to them. The Wind Shield that is included blocks light wind. We bought a third party Deadcat Fur Wind Shield ($5-$10). Not a big deal, but for the price of this Rode Mic, couldn't they included a deadcat Wind Shield? There are many Shotgun Mics out in the market. Rode is a very popular brand. This is a great Mic for YouTubers (lightweight). Great microphone to get off your builtin Mic from your camera, without breaking the bank.

Microphone works get without any problems, it does not take batteries or have a on/off switch like most external mics so that's a big plus. I use it all the time for when I am vlogging. I definitely recommend this microphone !!!

This light weight boom microphone is awesome. It is simple to install - no software, batteries, just plug into your camera mic slot and go. This thing performed so well, I felt like a professional. The volume and clarity of my HD video's via my Cannon camera, took my video to the next level of quality. Great return on my investment. Used it to record an impromptu graduation party and it made a significant difference.

I had been deciding on this item for a while now, so glad I decided to purchase this item! The microphone is small and compact, light weight and easy to assemble. Quality of the sound is crisp and clear, when in play back mode the sound is very clear. I happy with my purchase and I would recommend it

My daughter is a budding Videographer and needed a Min for her Canon T5i. Easy to setup and the sound quality is dramatically better with the Mic.

Great affordable mic to improve your audio on your videos. Wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. Everyone has different opinions but I loved the sound quality and how small and easily it travels. Doesn't take up much room in the bag.

This was the first microphone I ever bought for my Canon M50 II. Originally bought it in 2021 and had lasted me all the way until early 2023. Would've bought it again, if I wasn't looking to try new products out. Definitely recommend. Easy to use and set up.
