I received a Norelco 1290X shaver several years ago and it still works like new. However, it has been very difficult to find replacement blades that weren't counterfeit and for some reason Norelco discontinued the blades used in the original head forcing customers to switch out to a different head style. The first version had cheap orange plastic retainers which often fell out when shaving or cleaning the head. This new style has stronger retainers which offer improved performance. Until they offer the original style of replacement blades again (not likely), these appear to be a reasonable replacement option. I've also found that Best Buy does a better job of shipping OEM parts than other major on-line retailers where counterfeits are rampant.

i guess it's been over a year since i got my electric razor, so maybe i forgot how easy it was to shave when new. got a bit tired of it taking longer to get a decent shave with the electric than a regular razor with water, cream, shave, rinse etc. almost shocked at how easy to get a closer and quicker shave with the ew blades. the old ones pop off and new ones in in seconds. wasn't cheap, but i'll change them more often now.

Well the price is a bit high so I thought I'd go back to blades for a while until a sale. The wait was worth it. For me these shave closer than blades especially when wet shaving. They are very sharp, just wish they lasted longer than a year.

This product is quite different from the head that came with the razor. I was concerned about fitment and function but there was no problems at all. This is a design improvement, I guess, that does improve the shave I am now getting. Closer cut and less noise. A little harder to clean but well worth it. I would recommend this product. Works on 8000 and 9000 series.

New cutters do a better job than my 14 month old ones did. A few negatives though: 1. They don’t cut quite as close as the original blades; 2. They are a lot louder than the original ones. A whiny high pitched noise that is bothersome; 3. There’s no way to verify that these are the latest. Philips Model # for the blades is 90 but that is followed by a slash and a second two digit number. The 90/50 were good (that’s what my original ones were). They got replaced by the 90/62 which got terrible reviews. Can’t comment on those as I never used them. Those were later replaced by the 90/72 which have been getting much better reviews. I wanted to be certain that I was getting the 90/72. It the box and package do not indicate which one they are. That annoys me as maybe I was sent the 90/62 even though the Best Buy site said 90/72. Bottom line is that after a year the cutters have to be replaced and it is an improvement.

An original replacement shaving heads for Norelco Philips, comes preassembled as one unit, very easy to replace, but a little too pricey.

Excellent replacement blades. I made sure to get the correct model replacement blades after reading model numbers from others online. These work perfectly, no issues at all, it's like a new machine. I do use the SmartClean system every day as well, helps keep the blades, etc. working smoothly.

My husband has been using the same shave head for quite a while and after he replaced by this new one, he told me the difference right away! The replacement head is more than 1/3 price of the original shave, it is expensive! Absolutely! But we still feel it's worth it as the good product lasts long and you enjoy it daily.

This is much improved over the old version. Heads swap out in one piece- it literally took less than 10 seconds. Maybe my blades were too old, but they also seem to cut better than the original heads.

Although expensive they do last on average, 6 months. They have improved the design as the original blade head replacement was 3 loose rotating heads, blades and clips that were fiddly to put together. This complete head unit is ready to click on and go.

Norelco Exact Replacement Would not initially have thought of Best Buy for small personal care replacement parts but am so glad they carry them. Norelco lasts a lifetime though the blade head is eventually going to need replacement. Best Buy is a name you can trust which makes every purchase a "no worries" transaction!

A bit pricey but long lasting and super close shave, I use it for my head! Great for men that need a quick daily shave and don’t wanna use blades

I have had RQ1260 since 2011. My electric shaver works find even after 10 years. I am so impressed for the durability. However, the head of the shaver is always problematic for me. Philips stopped produce the header. I finally find the right one for my RQ1260. It works perfectly. I am so happy.

solid razor heads, work very well, great cutting. Good replacement for 9000 series Norelco shaver. Easy to replace. A bit expensive (but so is this series of razor)-try to wait and buy it when on sale.
