As a remake +Very addictive just like the original +The pacing is just as good +The story is even more in depth +No Liberal politic nonsense +Things that have been cut have been used to expand other locations. +The cheesiness and action is still there +The merchant -A missing boss -A missing ski lift section Overall a 4.5/5 I won't include separate ways as the original version (GameCube January 11th 2005) did not have it originally, it was installed with the PS2 version releasing October 25th 2005. So if separate ways releases within the same time frame and includes the missing boss, I'll give the remake rating a 5/5 if not, it goes down to a 4/5. As a game 5/5 It's fun, addictive and can be challenging in a good way, it's what games should be these days and not be used for a dump for liberal politics. Not as perfect as the original but it's right there, almost at the bar of being as perfect like the original. Overall rating, 5/5 can be lowered down to 4/5 if necessary dlc expectations don't meet.

RES IV was an amazing game way back when. So, I was worried they would slice it up just like they did with RES III Remake. Then I thought must be an even # thing because RES 2 Remake Rocked Hard! One of the Best Remakes Ever Made! Then RES 3 let me Down! So Down! RES 4, despite some serious changes, Delivers a Horror/Action so Worth the $! I played the Demo in Game Stop and was Hooked immediately! Is it better than RES 2…Hmmmm…Maybe in some ways! Anyways, it’s a Great Game! Enjoy!

Very good game, although they omitted some details from the original game, it is still very good. I got it at a good price for Black Friday, so I'm going to play it and platinum it.

Capcom has really stepped up their game with this one. I am thoroughly enjoying this remake! If you played the original game then you now how many surprises are in store. They expanded the chapters and made everything bigger and better. For instance, I can’t get over the “lake scene”! I LOVED what they did. Trust me you won’t be disappointed with this game!!!

I was not planning on getting the re4remake, i was having remakes burn out. However, i saw the clips from youtube, i got intrigue, no regrets. played the multiple runs, unlocked everything in the game. Imo this is the best remake that capcom ever made.

Very good! Mine came in about 3 days and it was sealed (obviously) but the disc works perfectly and there is nothing wrong with it. I loved playing the game!

This was a very well done remake. The graphics the updated controls and some of the story changes. My one gripe though and I'm sure I'll get crap for it is I couldn't stand leons cussing. To me he was always a calm collective type after re2 and idk I guess cussing just adds to the tension or something. Still loved the game though.

This remake is amazing. The kept some.of the humor of the original, the breakneck pace and ramped up the action by giving you more eays to survive, while things like traps and the knife durability keep you from feeling like there's not enough challenge. Leon is amazin, as always, and they made Ashley Graham a much better character. The merchant is familiar and new, with his awesome shooting range and ways to help you tweak your loadout for your playstyle. I love Mercenaries Mode. It's just a perfect remake. If you never played the original, you'll have an amazing experience, and if you played the original, they've changed enough, improved so much, that you'll get so much out of the Resi4 Remake.

The remake brings back so many memories from when I played the original for the first time while adding new layers to the gameplay that it makes it feel like I'm playing it for the first time all over again. Easily one of the best games of 2023!

Incredible remake of an iconic title of the Resident Evil Series.RE4 introduced many RE gamers to the new gameplay style that was new and totally different then the previous RE games and one that pretty much turned the heads of RE gamers. The graphics/world/design are done great without the somewhat tanky controls that the original RE4 still suffered from with the PS4/Xbox One releases. A definite improvement and welcomed addition to the game library.

I just played the 'remastered' version about a year ago so the original is still pretty fresh in my mind. The remake really threads the needle - hitting the perfect balance between the familiar and the new. Not only has it been rebuilt from the ground up, but the stages and enemies have all been rejiggered and mostly improved - all while staying true to the original story. As close to a perfect 'remake' as you're ever going to find - right up there with RE2.
