I absolutely love this surge protector. The overall quality of the product is very well made. It doesn't give the feeling of possibly failing to protect your plugged in equipment in the event of a surge, it actually does the exact opposite. The other feature I really enjoy is the led lighting at a fingers touch. That makes it super convenient to plug, or unplug something without fumbling around with little to no light. The reason for the 4 star review is the price. It seems a little overpriced and should probably retail for a bit less. Other than that, it's a solid product.

Bought this to support my $3300 computer system. I have three 27" monitors hooked up to this, one external hard drive, one computer with an 850W power supply, a lava lamp, a shredder, and an LED light strip. It comes with four USB charging ports as well! It lights up beautiful to show you the outlets at night; also comes with coax cable hookups. This is probably one of the few Rocketfish products I've ever rated 5 stars. Worth the $$$ if you ask me.

This outlet is the best I've seen so far. I had some many of the same brand, but just the extra ports, USB, and the night look is simply amazing. A little bit pricey but it will protect your investment.

Top quality. Love how it has built in lights to help you see where to plug in your electronics !

Very upset to report that this Rocketfish - 12-Outlet/8-USB surge protector strip is horrible and recommending that no one buys it. It died after 5 months. There was no power event e.g., surge, brown-out, black-out, etc. Just stopped working.

If you need a Home Theatre power strip / surge protector, look no further. This one meets all of the basic needs and has a number of fantastic bonus features, The outlets on this are spaced nicely to accommodate normal power cords along with those bulky AC/DC Power adapters (aka Wall Warts). The switchable LED lighting is a huge bonus, makes it super easy to see behind the TV Stand (to add new toys). The 'flush mount' wall plug and braided power cable are fantastic finishing touches. The 4-port USB extension is a killer feature - providing a 'clean' USB charging solution for all of the USB devices used in the entertainment area. Highly Recommended!

This is definitely the most premium-looking, feature-rich surge protector I've ever owned. I love the braided cord and the LED-lit outlets, which look great at night. I'm glad the LEDs can be easily turned off when you need a pitch-dark room. The joule rating is great, though I wish the clamping voltage rating were a bit lower (it's 500v, which is a bit high for a home theater surge protector). The EMI/RFI noise filter is also a nice touch, but it's certainly not as effective as a dedicated power conditioner. As a nice bonus, there is a separate 4-port USB hub that can be used anywhere else in your home, and it too has LED lighting that can be turned on or off. I placed it on my desk to charge my tablet, phone, and headphones. Overall, this is a great value, especially if you can wait for a decent sale.

Definitely a step up from entry level surge protectors and worthy of anyone's home theater setup. I use one there but also one in my home office "studio" with a synthesizer, mixer, monitors, desktop, etc. I'm still not convinced of its "clean power" in that I still hear light noise coming out of my monitors when recording, but this isn't marketed as an uber expensive pro-grade power conditioner. I'm ok with that since I'm not making music professionally. Even then it does much better than what I previously used. Thus the five star rating. It looks great, has some weight to it, will protect against surges, and the USB hub is a nice bonus.

[Employee of bestbuy] Was able to get my Tv, consoles, and AV equipment all plugged in and protected. I like the option to turn on the guide light which would help you plug things in when its dark. Also enjoy using the included usb brick at my couch to charge my remote.

It sounds like the Rocketfish™ Premium Surge Protector is working out great for you! The guide light feature definitely seems handy for those dark moments, and having the USB brick for charging your remote right from the couch is a nice touch. It’s always good to hear when a product meets your needs so well. While the price is a bit steep, opening the box revealed the true value of the product. It feels well built and robust, unlike the surge protector it replaced. It even has a reset switch, like a fuse or GFI outlet, so if it trips from detecting a surge, it can be reset and used again. With the coax and ethernet ports, I am able to protect my network as well. I originally bought this for my entertainment center and have since bought another for my workstation. The 1 foot extenders for bulky power supply bricks have been very handy as well. The included separate 4 port USB charger is nice, but I don't have a real use for it. Oh, and those lights around each outlet are extremely handy for tight and/or dark spaces.

I love this surge protector and use it for a large number of electronics. It is a little bulky so that may scare some consumers away but you need size for all the plugs and support it offers. The added charger station seals the deal. It is completely separate so can be used anywhere in the house, not just where the surge protector is. I got this on a super buy and should have bought more had I known then what I know now.

The Rocketfish has the highest joules rating of 5280. This is great protection for all of your electronics. The power center is a low profile center that fits neatly anywhere you want to place it and the lighted ports and outlets are not to bright to distract you. You also have level 2 power filter to clean up your lines. There are also some extras to make connecting a little easier for you. You can't go wrong with buying this power center.

I have two svs 4000 subs svs prime pinnacle speakers Denon receiver and monolith amp and a bad hum from my cable box whenever I touched my coaxial to my cable box input. I installed the Rocketfish surge protector ran coaxial cable through it and the hum is completely gone.

This is a great product. I have bought several. I have my home theater plugged in, On another I have my computer and other electronics. I buy several and have backups. This strip reminds you to change your surge protector and shuts off when it has reached its end of life. I always know I have a "fresh" strip. There are lights that let you know you are prtected.

So far so good. I affixed it to a wall in arms reach from my desk. It is made of sturdy material and solid construction. Outboard socket spacing is very adequate for your bulky transformer prong cords. Plenty of outlets. After running my cable/cat 6 ethernet lines through to test for any speed drop or degradation, there was nothing obvious. Speed at modem was the same on the output of this surge protector. I'm happy. So, after a month, I'm content with this product overall. Nothing disappointing to report at all. I would recommend.

This thing is great!!! It’s also $100 less at Best Buy than on amazon. My only issue is that it doesn’t have one row of master controlled plugs. The older model had 3 plugs that only had power when the device plugged into the master plug was turned on. I miss being able to turn off the lighting behind my tv and powered sub by turning off my audio receiver(the main part of my home theater).

I had purchase this particular surge protector as part of Best Buy's Deal of the Day for $79.99 after reading the reviews and its features and it works as described! I was impressed just by the packaging alone - the box is huge and looks fancy even for a surge protector - definitely felt like I was purchasing a high end equipment. With the outlets being lit, it's definitely an added benefit and helps to identify not only the ports but the unit in a dark environment. Overall, the build quality is nice and it works as described - I highly recommend giving this surge protector a try!
