We recently completed our basement and looking for a home theatre with Dolby Atmos and also with a wireless solution, I was very happy that I got this from Best Buy. I agree it is a bit pricey hence had to grab the 24 months no interest option but definitely worth the money. The setup was very easy, everything connects itself as soon as you turn on Soundbar, Subwoofer and the rear speakers. I connected this SB to Arc connection of EPSON LS500 short through projector (also bought from Best Buy) and was confused why sound comes for only few videos or rather only from Youtube then finally realized that I had to update the firmware using SmartThings App first. After that wow!! I experienced the real effects really tearing my basement with a volume of just 20-22. I love that the rear speakers are completely wireless and I can place them anywhere I want with stands but remember the wire which goes to the plug is not very lengthy, I had to buy two 6 feet extension cables to connect the left and right speakers. Waiting to watch some great movies with Atmos this weekend. Definitely recommend!!

The best soundbar available. Looking for theater like sound and with the 11.1.4 ch Dolby Atmos technology and Q-Symphony, the system integrated seamlessly with my Samsung The Frame TV. Must use eARC HDMI connection to get full Dolby Atmos sound quality.
Had this for a few months now. It SOUNDS good. Coming from a real surround AVR system with 7.1, this actually sounds better than my giant JBL speakers and Denon amp. The surround effect is terrific. There are SOME major downsides if you're nerdy/techy though....SmartThings is the app you have to use to control it from a phone and it's VERY basic. There's no real integration with HomeAssistant if you're a smart home enthusiast. The HDMI ports are 2.0, so no VRR 4k120 etc passthrough for newer game consoles and PCs. There's also no chromecast built in which feels like a bizarre omission, but Airplay works fine for Apple folks. There is also NO DIRECT CONTROL to set the inputs....so you can't go from HDMI 1 to WiFi without rolling through multiple button presses to go thru every input. This is a HUGE problem for anyone using a universal remote like Harmony or Sofa Baton. The ONLY way we could work around this was to buy an HDMI splitter with 5x 2.1 inputs and 1x 2.1 output. This way we never need need to change the input of the soundbar and everything runs straight into the TV (LG C4 only has 4 HDMI inputs, 1 has to be used for eARC if you want Atmos) and we have a PS5, Google TV Streamer, Nintendo Switch, and a PC that needed inputs. If you have 3 or fewer devices and 4 inputs on your TV you should be fine without the splitter. I know it sounds like I'm poopooing it....which couldn't be further from the truth. If you want a convenient surround system that "just works" for the mostpart, this is IT. I do NOT miss my huge surround setup at all. Just be willing to tinker if you have specific needs.

I spent a lot of time and research on sound bars from Samsung to match our TV. We’ve had excellent equipment from Samsung with no problems. The equipment came in a large box and it was easy to assemble. All you had to do was plug in the power and the HDMI cable to the TV. We were lucky to have the QLED TV - it updated itself - I had no stress. Because everything is all Bluetooth there’s no wires to attach. On a separate purchase we bought some speaker stands to optimize the surround sound.

Best soundbar on the market, bar none. Great surround sound. True Atmos sound. Powerful subwoofer. Seamless wireless audio.

This thing is LOUD! I have yet to put the volume any higher than 25% - 26%. The sub is surprisingly powerful. When using the SmartThings app, you have extremely granular options for tweaking all of the independent channel levels, bass/treble, sub, etc. AirPlay, Bluetooth, and WiFi streaming support are also fantastic.

This is the best Dolby Atmos soundbar I have ever heard. Mind you, i also recently bought its cheaper cousin the Q750C 5.1.2 for the bedroom and a month ago, got the Bose Ultra, with Bass 700 module and Virually Invisibles 300 Bose surrounds, which was an expensive system clockin in at over 2k dollars...for a 5.1.2 system. This is an 11.1.4 system for 1399.00 on sale! You cant beat the value. The way it virtualizes and throws out sound makes you here object base audio from places you did not place a speaker. The 4 upfiring speakers( 2 in the front and two from the rear speakers, will have you looking up to make sure you didnt install speakers up there...same with the two side firing channel from the front soundbar and two sides from each surround. The sub is huge and give great low rumble and distinct punch giving the mix great low end..The best part really is the value. You cant build a discrete 11.1.4 system at the price of the Q990C. The av receiver alone will cost you over 2000, then you have to buy 11 ear level speakers, a subwoofer and 4 ceiling speakers...and figure out where youll put it all. Do yourself a favor, and just get this system. It will blow you away.

Great for an average household. Not all or your streaming will utilize the capacity of these speakers but with movies or programs that do, it’s very immersive. It allows you to customize the levels of each speaker to tune to your preferences and the clarity is maintained well. The subwoofer does great alongside its in an ideal placement in your space, highlighting the 60Hz range best. The connection between devices works well, Bluetooth to phone, eARC to TV & WiFi all perform well and relatively seamless. The additional features when paired with a Samsung TV & App boost the appeal as well. The SpaceFit sound design is great and can really direct the sound to create a bubble around the area. Well worth it and justified for the price point.

Lovely system. Quality superb. Got it time to watch GOTG 3 streaming on Disney and it was a blast. The sound effect from the rear speakers are immaculate. Don’t hesitate to purchase. Though the price was a bit up there, I truly believe it was fair enough for what you get.

The Samsung 990c exceeds my expectations! I have an old Samsung soundbar that sounded great.. until I compared it with this newer system. The 990c packs an even bigger punch with a subwoofer that convincingly deliver lows that rattle the walls and surround atmos speakers that fill the room with pure sonic pleasure!

The soundbar/speaker system itself is incredible. The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is because of Q-Symphony (I have an S95C TV). I find that using Q-Symphony makes the overal sound very front heavy and a lot more “tinny” due to the TV’s speakers being used. It almost seemed like the system was prioritizing the use of the TV’s low quality speakers over the rest of the sound system. But, turn off Q-Symphony and it sounds great. Also, I got this item on a deep sale of $1000 off (although that seems to be the regular price at this point) so that’s why I am rating the value so high.

It's much better than you think it is! My prior sound bar is Bowers and Wilkins, and they're pretty much as good as it gets when it comes to speakers. But it's not the speakers it's the tech, the firmware and the design; and the results are astounding. Voice clarity like you've never experienced. An in theater experience, better than being in a theater.

We wanted a great new look to our master bedroom with out the look of a TV room. We built a fireplace wall and installed the 65" Samsung Frame TV and added the great theater sound of the Q-series 990C. Its gorgeous and the sound fills up the space beautifully and well balanced with no unsightly cables.

Ideal for small home theater. Placement matters and make sure to place subwoofer in best location. If you have Samsung Q-Symfony enable TV that’s awesome and can benefit most out of it.

So far so good. Upgraded to 1.004 firmware without a hitch. No issues with using the Samsung with my Sony Bravia 77" A80L. Finally able to enjoy my multichannel Super Audio CD collection again (use standard mode). Movies and music both sound great! No regrets thus far.

Great sound. I like how the soundbar is on the same height as the Smasung TV's. I player around in windows to get the atmos to work but its nice. Games and content sound amazing. Make sure to use the smart thing apps for all the settings.

Amazing sound! Feels like a movie theatre. Q990C does the job and is so much more affordable than sonos / bose systems. Its great for music, movies, gaming you name it

Glad I waited for the drop in price, the setup is so simple. The clarity of voices in films stands out but the bass is awesome and clean. No distortion in the bass. I love it

Great System Samsung hit it out of the park! Completely tweaked out of the box with easy control over it if you want to play around with it but not really a must for a lot of the work is done.
