I purchased the SanDisk 256GB Cruiser Drive to support video storage. I got tired of selecting a USB jump drive to store video only to find out that the drive I chose was too small for the job at hand. That all ended with the purchase of the SanDisk 256GB Drive. The drive is a USB 2.0 but my laptop won't accept a 3.0 drive. Yes I need to wait patiently for the MOV files I am loading to complete the process, but I finally have a USB drive that is easy to use, has great software included with it to keep my files secure and has an almost endless appetite for video files. Inexpensive yet very effective. I highly recommend this Cruiser Drive.

The Sandisk-Cruzer 256 GB Flash Drive Has all the storage capacity I need for my CDs and all my pictures. I can also select files that I want to keep private by simply adding a password. It is compact and therefore easy to carry. That makes it easy to share my photos and or music. I really enjoy this useful little gadget.

Pleased with the flash drive it's as fast as some of the more expensive ones. I've had no problems storing music and playing it on the car stereo where others skip.

Always fond of SanDisk drives and this 256gb was a welcome addition given it's storage capacity. So far it has not disappointed and I'm looking forward to it's durability. It is small, convenient and fits any storage need adequately.

Seriously. 256GB in a USB flash drive is incredible. Small and lightweight so you can place on a key ring. The USB connection retracts when not in use. Nice feature. The device was so nice I bought it twice! Best of all, no animals were harmed in my testing of the device!

Plenty of space to use, very good for my videos and pictures, no compatibility issues, easy to use. I got this on sale and it is a great saving. I will buy more, I hope they put this back on sale.

The Sandisk Cruzer 256gb Usb 2.0 Flash Drive is a great product. High capacity, compact & low price. Downsize is USB 2.0, but that's what the lower price point gets you. If you can wait to transfer 256gb of data, then this is the flashdrive to buy now.

Picked up a lot of portable storage for cheap when on sale but unfortunately, the USB 2.0 interface is slow and seems even slower than normal with this flash drive. I use it to make Time Machine backups on my MacBook Pro so only that first full backup is really slow. After that, the incremental backups are tolerable. Not recommended for high speed file transfer. But still more reliable, much smaller and more battery efficient than a spinning platter hard drive.

Lots of storage space for my movies at a great price!

I take photos daily and don't like to keep it all on my computer. Heaven forbid anything were to happen to my computer and i was unable to retrieve my photos. Another reason is just to to space on the computer itself. Taking photos for work and home can add up fast. I just these thumb drives to keep things safe and organized.

Con's: It's MSRP is too high... Wait for them to go on sale for 1/3 the price. It would be nice if each one came with a cheap and simple white paper sticker to use as a label. Other thoughts: I own almost 2 dozen Cruzer Glide USB's, in all the different GB sizes they offer. I've NEVER had one fail and have used them for many years. SanDisk prints the GB size of the USB drive on the back, which is the only good place to put your own label... A necessity when you have as many as I do.

SanDisk - Cruzer 256GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive - Black/Red Pros: Large GB capacity. Unbeatable price--When on sale! Uniform size and style for all Cruzer Glide sticks. VERY reliable (I've used them for many years and have yet to have even one fail). Cons: Not really a con but... It would be nice to have the GB capacity not just printed, but molded, onto the front or sides of the stick, and come with a label/sticker for the back. Other Thoughts: I own several Cruzer Glide sticks of different GB sizes, for different things, so labels are a must. Sandisk prints the info about the stick on the back, which is the optimal place to put my labels.

I have the smaller 128GB version and filled that pretty quickly, so decided to pick up the 256GB version. I have old laptop HDDs that I put into external cases that I used to use for a large capacity, small portable external drive for cheap, but now that 256GB is available for a low price in a USB stick, I don't need those HDDs anymore. Great to have so much capacity in such a small package. Only con is the formatting seems to take up quite a bit more space on the 256GB than it does on the 128GB. Don't know why formatting is a percentage of the space, but there's only about 240GB usable left. Almost 16GB to format?
