Purchased 2 of these. One to test and keep if it worked and one to give as a gift if it tested well. It was super easy to install the Schok TV app from the Google Play Store and was pretty much plug and play with app installed. Using the bigger antenna I pulled in over 65 channels per device. Image was clear with no drops on the major networks. Swapped out for the smaller loop antenna after the channels were scanned in and found no drop in performance. Test location was my house in the suburbs about 30 miles North of Salt Lake. I'll have to test it camping and up at the cabin to see how it performs in a more remote area. The option for TV on the go with no data required or as an addition to our emergency preparedness in the event of a power outage is making this look like a pretty nice gadget to have handy. So far I am very pleased with my purchase and hope the recipient of the 2nd one enjoys it equally well.

I purchased this product from Best Buy. They advertised that it was supposed to keep my tablet charged while I was watching TV. Charging cable does not work. And advertise that it would charge my Android tablet at the same time I was using the HDTV antenna. The cable does not work. I went to Best Buy and Best Buy told me they could not help that I needed to get hold of Schok. I got hold of Schok and they told me to get hold of Best Buy. Nobody will help me on this. I paid $50 for junk. Not real happy. Real disappointment.

It is almost like having a TV set in the palm of your hand. Basically the same as you using your TV with a antenna instead of cable/satellite. Even though there is a USB type C adapter, it will not work though USB type C. Nor does it work with most tablets or Chromebooks even though it works though a Android app which the developers need to update to resolve compatibility issues.
