Purchased to upgrade lower capacity internal sata drive. Hooked up externally via usb converter. Software would not allow cloning to new drive. It appeared greyed out. Spent a long time with customer service, who was thorough but couldn’t figure things out. Then swapped the two drives, installing new one internally and old drive via usb adapter. It all worked without any issue from that point forward and so far has been a good drive.
