Another great game by limited run games I appreciate best buys approach on getting video games that are unique or a one time print keep up the good work thank you 

Never played the original Shantae so I decided to pickup this copy at Best Buy. The music, the sprite artwork and the level designs are all good fun. The game has definitely aged a but and the controls feel a but stiff at times, but it is solid fun if you are lookimg for some side scrolling retro fun!

The original Shantae on PlayStation 5 is a delightful piece of gaming history brought back to life by WayForward and Limited Run Games' Carbon Engine. Originally released on the Game Boy Color in 2002, this 8-bit action-platformer still charms with its colorful sprites, catchy chiptune soundtrack, and the signature hair-whipping, belly-dancing, shape-shifting gameplay that launched an entire franchise. As Shantae, guardian of Scuttle Town, you'll explore Sequin Land, battle the pirate Risky Boots, collect elemental stones, and transform into various creatures to reach new areas — classic Metroidvania design executed brilliantly for the handheld era. The PS5 port doesn't just dump the old game onto a modern console; it thoughtfully includes two modes — the faithful GBC Original mode and the Extended mode that unlocks the Game Boy Advance enhancements like an extra transformation and alternate color palette. Add in quality-of-life features like save states, visual filters, and a bonus mini art gallery, and you get a well-rounded package for just $9.99. This is a great game. I was surprised i was able to buy a Limited Run game through Best Buy. I didnt know they sometimes sold through Best Buy. Best Buy has been pretty decent at shipping.

Got this game for my husband he loves the Shantae ganes he has them all now and playes these all the time .

I’ve loved the Shantae series since Pirate’s Curse released on 3DS, with the recent release of these games on modern consoles, I finally have all of these classic titles on a physical hard-copy! Every game in the series is just as good as I remember it!

WayForward's first Shantae and a rare GBA classic now officially released on modern consoles. A fun metroid-vania adventure staring the Half Genie heroine herself, Shantae! Well worth your time.

The game is amazing. It just took forever to get this preorder from Best Buy, Im talking years. I'm not sure why it took so long but since it was sold out everywhere else, I had to wait

Go into this expecting the Game Boy Color game that it is. Unfortunately, no widescreen support :p

the first entry in the shantae metroidvania series. old graphics but its ok. new comers might be turned off due to the graphics but its still fun to play.
