We needed a second oven, and had a somewhat small opening (27"w x 19"h) in the cabinet above our standard oven. Our old combo microwave toaster oven was too small for many baking needs, so we were looking for another combo or a pure convection oven. The Sharp has been a great addition. We got it just in time for Thanksgiving, and used the mix/roast mode to cook a 16 lb turkey in about half the time (just over 2 hrs). The skin was browned and crispy, and even the breast meat remained moist (without any basting or injections). The mixed mode baking works well, too. I've tried baking breads, biscuits, cookies, cakes and pies, and all came out fine. When using stoneware pans, the time savings over baking in the larger convection oven, even with the mixed microwave/convection mode, is not substantial. But the Sharp is large enough to accommodate almost all of our baking pans (with the exception of full-size cookie sheets), and is meeting our second oven needs. The plain microwave mode seems a little weak compared to other microwaves of this size, but it is more powerful than our old microwave/toaster oven combo. The 'sensor cook' mode has not been very valuable for us - it always seems to stop heating too soon.

We bought almost the same oven years and years ago and have been enjoying it. However, after over 10 years it just decided to "retire." We wanted the same oven again and were thrilled to find it. It is large, cooks perfectly on micro and convection and pops every kernel of popcorn! Only thing that changed is that it no longer has a handle (we used as a towel holder) across the top. Miss it.

If you've always wanted a second oven, especially around the holidays, this model fits the bill. I had an earlier model for over 30 years. The stainless steel version is beautiful and the baking by convection is excellent. The microwave portion is so dependable. It's well worth it!

This is my third Sharp Microwave Convection over a period of 30years. I have used it for something as large as a 10lb Turkey under the convection setting to reheating leftovers on the microwave setting. I use it alot in the Summer so I don't have to turn the gas stove on. This oven is very easy to use and clean also. I wouldn't buy another.

I did a lot of research before purchasing this convection microwave. I have installed this inside a cabinet and the stainless steel version of this microwave blends well with other appliances in my kitchen. Very quite.

I highly recommend this unit to anyone who uses a microwave and occasionally needs a second oven. This unit performs extremely well in both capacities. I previously owned a Wolf product that is exactly the same other than the buttons on the front and the expensive price tag! The Wolf is made by Sharp and is the very same product. I am so pleased with this microwave/convection oven. It does all necessary reheating, popping popcorn, etc. and makes terrific baked potatoes! I use it for small baking/broiling functions when I don't want to heat up the kitchen with my big oven.

This microwave has solid construction, good features, a reasonable price, and is simple to use. It replaces a nearly identical Sharp model from the mid-1990s that still cooked fine when we gave it away. The reliability of the old unit persuaded us to buy another Sharp.

I had a white model for 15 years. Hope this lasts as long! My only negative is that the stainless interior is the same and is difficult to keep clean. I would never broil for that reason. Great as convection oven for a couple. Perfect size!

It does a great job, easy to use, good looking in the kitchen with the stainless steel. Easy to clean.

We had a Sharp convection/microwave for 25 years. We were very happy with it. We read everyone's reviews and everyone was having the same good luck we were so we decided to buy another one. Hopefully we will get at least 25 years out of this new one.

Pleasantly surprised to find the same model still available after 10 years! Only reason I replaced it was the door was sagging slightly - just enough to keep it from running unless I shimmed it. Otherwise it worked very well. Figured it was better to replace with new while still available than fix the door (unfortunately door uses rivets rather than screws). Saved time and money since I already had the kit.

I had the exact model microwave and the convec quit on it. Mine was built in so I was afraid I could not find one to fit now as mine was 20 yr. old. Well, you had the same exact model #, shipping was free and when it came it fit perfectly. Needless to say I was very happy.

The Sharp R-930AK is a great oven. It's easy to use and the combination of a microwave and convection oven is very convenient. It cooks consistently well, and has plenty of space inside. I had Sharp's previous version of this model , which I liked, and it lasted 21 years. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Typical convection MW, with very good step by step instructions in timer window. Keypad numbers hard to see without sufficient light (they should have consulted an organizational psych. or focus group.

We haven't had this very long but have found it easy to use so far. Everything has worked fine.

I purchased this microwave as an exact replacement for one I had purchased in 1998 and used every single day until it finally gave up the ghost. At first I was leery to purchase a new one because of some of the reviews I read, but went ahead and purchased it anyway. I have had the microwave for about a month now and am happy to say it works just as well as the one I replaced.

This is my second Sharp R-930 Convection/Microwave Oven. My first one lasted 16 years. This is an indispensable appliance in my household. Best Buy is consistently great on price and great on service. Happy camper here.

I HAD LOOKED FOR THIS FOR SOME TIME PRIOR TO MY PURCHASE & COULDN'T FIND IT. THEN JUST WHEN I HAD TO LOOK AGAIN I FOUND IT AT BEST BUY. IT'S A REPLACEMENT & JUST LIKE MY OLD ONE. LOVE THE MICRO/CONVECTION FEATURE. IN THE HOT WEATHER IT DOESN'T TAKE MUCH TO HEAT UP WITH THE CONVECTION & DOESN'T GET THE KITCHEN SO WARM LIKE REGULAR OVENS. ALSO LIKE THE COMBI USE TO COOK THINGS FAST. ABSOLUTELY THE BEST EVER.

This is a wonderful product. It looks great and is simple to use. The convection feature has been so useful and evenly cooks and crisps. Goodbye countertop toaster oven!

Combination of convection and microwave makes all kinds of cooking possible and easy. User Manual is very easy to understand and use and the cookbook gives explanations, cooking charts and recipes that use all the oven's features making it a breeze to use this oven. Control panel is easy to use and gives you directions as you go. This is the second Sharp convection/microwave combo oven I've had and I wouldn't want be without it!
