What's that lurking under 11-year-old Brian Stevenson's (Fred Savage) bed? Why, it's blue-skinned, horned creature Maurice (Howie Mandel), who promptly takes his charge into his otherworldly home, where all manner of goblins and beasties live. Scarily funny comedy also stars Daniel Stern, Ben Savage, Margaret Whitton, Frank Whaley, Rick Ducommun. 103 min. Widescreen; Soundtracks English DTS HD 5.1 Master Audio, Spanish; Subtitles English (SDH); audio commentary; interviews; isolated music score. Two-disc set.
Red Christmas - The abortion angle really adds to the creepiness of the story. Overall a wild blood-soaked horror film for the entire family... well maybe not for everyone in the family. A great mix of gore, comedy, great acting, repressed sexuality, sibling rivalries and religion.
A fishing village tempted by greed evolve into freakish half-human creatures and must sacrifice outsiders to an ancient, monstrous god of the sea.
