I’ve been shooting with my Sony A6300 for 2 years. While I love the flexibility of my telephoto this prime lens is game changing. This lens has rekindled my love for photography. And the images that it produces are awesome. The bokeh is so good. But if you don’t need it the sharpness of my images is awesome. It is a little on the big side. Which adds weight. Makes the camera not as pocketable like when you use the kit 16-55mm. But I debated on purchasing this lens for a while. And it was well worth the wait. If you shoot on a Sony APS-C this is a must have piece of glass.

This lens is a must have for any compatible camera. Absolutely amazing for talking head videos or for those who shoot real-estate videos. For full potential you need to use a Full Frame camera. An ACP lens you will have to zoom in a bit and lose the 16mm and it works more like a 22mm lens.

The Bokeh that the Sigma 16mm produces is absolutely beautiful! Since purchasing my Sony a6400 I’ve been looking for a new lens to add alongside the kit lens. I’ve done a lot of research and this one has been at the top of my list. I was finally able to catch it in stock @ Best Buy and pulled the trigger. Without having built in stabilization, you’ll get you’re best video with a tripod or a gimbal if your camera doesn’t have it. The Sigma 16mm takes excellent pictures day or night with the 1.4 aperture. If you’re looking for a lens that’s great for low light and want to add that bokeh effect to your photos, the Sigma 16mm 1.4 can’t be beat for the price.

I bought this for my Sony ZV-E10 and I love it! It works great and makes my crop-sensor lens look like a full-frame camera. I highly recommend this lens for vlogging and even for taking photos. The f/1.4 aperture makes a huge difference. I originally wanted the 24mm, but it was sold out, so I went with the 16mm—and it’s been working great!

I picked up the Sigma Contemporary 16mm f/1.4 DC DN to pair with my Sony ZV‑E10, and it quickly became one of my favorite lenses in the bag. The low‑light performance is outstanding—this lens absolutely shines when the sun goes down. Indoor shots, evening scenes, and dimly lit environments all look clean, sharp, and far more expensive than the price tag suggests. For a budget‑minded lens, the image quality is seriously impressive. It’s sharp wide open, has beautiful subject separation, and delivers colors that punch well above its weight. Autofocus is quick and reliable, which makes it great for video, vlogging, and run‑and‑gun shooting. On the ZV‑E10, the 16mm focal length is perfect for wide shots without feeling overly distorted. Bottom line: this lens gives higher‑end glass a legitimate run for its money. If you’re looking for a fast wide‑angle lens with excellent low‑light capability that won’t obliterate your wallet, the Sigma 16mm f/1.4 is an easy recommendation—and one you’ll wonder how you lived without. If you want a matching title like the others, just say the word.

I’m honestly very impressed with this product. The build quality feels premium, and you can tell right away that it’s made with attention to detail. Performance-wise, it exceeded my expectations — everything works smoothly and delivers exactly what I was looking for. The results are sharp, consistent, and professional, making it perfect whether you’re a beginner or someone more experienced. I’ve been using it regularly, and it has quickly become an essential part of my setup. Another thing I really appreciate is the value for the price. You’re definitely getting more than what you pay for. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for reliability, quality, and great performance. I would absolutely buy it again!

This is an amazing and sharp lense!! The buttery smooth Bokeh results in some amazing pictures, I used it mainly for car photography and coming from a kit lens this is a night and day difference! Would recommend for anyone looking for a wide angle lense for a sony e-mount.

For the Price point, this lens is undeniable one of the best! 1.4f allow for sharp images, great for low light but one thing I've notice (which is normal) motor noise during focusing in video. This noise does not occur in the sigma 30mm but presist in the 16mm, which I had to knock it a Star but an External Microphone would solve this issue. Quality build is as always, 10/10

I’ve read all the reviews and have waited for over a year till Best Buy finally got it in stock. Let me tell you, the wait was well worth it. This lens has got to be the best wide angle lens for the Sony a6000 series. I’ve purchased and returned several other brands (including Sony), but this is a keeper. The photos are crisp, auto focus is super fast, low light quality is amazing, and the bokeh is breath taking due to the 1.4 aperture.

I bought this lens mainly for streaming on Twitch and I love it. Autofocus is fast and accurate, and the f/1.4 aperture makes the background look nicely blurry while keeping me in sharp focus. Image quality is excellent, even in lower light. Overall, it’s a great lens for streaming and content creation.

This review is not so much for the lens--everybody raves about the image quality and I can confirm that it is indeed incredibly sharp--as the service. The lens, as you see here, is not a stocked item. It will drop-ship directly to you from Sigma in CA, as I recall. This is not a secret; they told me this ahead of time in the store. But if you are in a *hurry* to get it, be smart and plan ahead. I bought mine here about 3.5 weeks ahead of Xmas, but it still was not going to end up coming on time for my son's "big" present. I had to buy one locally for 12-25 and then return this one after Christmas. (NOTE: the price is the same everywhere, but I was hoping to use & receive Rewards points on the purchase.) I ended up keeping the extra lens as an early birthday present to myself since both my son and I have the excellent a6300. So....all this to say, 1. incredible lens for landscape and vlogging, 2. plan ahead for shipping time since it won't be in stock in any of the BB warehouses or stores, and 3. they will take good care of you in the store if you have to do anything weird with returns, Rewards, etc.

Buttery smooth, solid depth of field”bokeh” and crisp image for just the right price.

The image qaulity is really good. There is some distortion because it is a wide lens. I woukd recomend this over the sony 15mm f1.4 because of the price. That sony lens is almost as much as its full frame conpetitor sony 20mm f1.8 which is an amazing lens with lens chromatic aboration and better corner sharpness. Dont buy sony lenses for apsc that costs as much as full frame lenses get these sigma lenses instead.

This is the absolute best wide angle prime (24mm equivalent on a full frame). Fast aperture, super sharp, can't ask for more. I stopped using it because I bought the Sony 16-55mm zoom however if you're not a zoom person than this is the absolute best wide angle prime for Sony's APS-C lineup, period. Don't even second guess it. It's about 20x better than that Sony 10-18mm wide angle zoom, and blows every other prime out of the water.
