I have officially jumped on the Sony train

I did quite a bit of research before deciding to pull the trigger on this TV, where OLED is a bit pricey I wanted to make sure it was worth spending the extra money. Let me just tell you, right out of the box this thing blew me away! Not only was the setup a breeze, but the sound that comes from this TV is also really good! The picture is incredibly detailed, the color rich and vibrant, the blacks are deep, I don't have a single bad thing to say about this product. Sony really knows how to make a quality TV. I debated over other brands like LG or even Samsung but I read a lot of reviews where people swear by Sony so I decided to give them a try. I will never go back! As long as Sony keeps making outstanding products like this, I see no reason to look anywhere else. If you're thinking about buying this TV, DO IT!!

[Employee of bestbuy] With the product on sale its a no brainer. Gets u into OLED Technology which creates an unreal bright screen with deep blacks. This is on par if not better than the new A80K which was made to replace this TV. If you got a lot of windows u should not be getting this tv or any other oled. The glare is awful in bright settings. This is made for a movie theatre type of a setting. The sony proccesing chip is the best in its game. There is obv better OLED TVs, but they are much more. This is a great intro to oled tvs on a budget. Even though its still high priced its worth it for the oled technology.

OLED is the clear winner

Great tv, amazing picture and when you combine with the Sony sound bar that supports syncing the audio with the panel it sounds fantastic. A lot of tvs nowadays are talking about how bright they get. But I honestly don’t see why you’d ever need anything brighter than this thing. Especially at night in a dark room, I would 10000% trade the accuracy and true black levels of this tv over something with a higher peak brightness.

OK so I’ve had this for a month now and I am in love with this TV. Oled oled oled I will never buy another TV if it’s not Oled The price was perfect and this TV is outstanding. I have always been true to the brand Sony baby !! Everything you could want on a TV Dolby, Atmos, Dolby Vision features are incredible

Will not disappoint

Pretty great to pair with a PS5 and Sony Soundsystem. New updates like VRR are pretty cool, and Google TV is great. Very good OLED option. My only regret is not being able to get a bigger one. Surprisingly good sound for a TV as well, although you'll want a dedicated sound system.

Great tv! I love sony and for me nothing can compare with sony. Good quality, thiny, light tv. I love natural color of picture and sony is no.1 in that. Sound is perfect also. Picture is so clean and everything is clearly visible. Even water drop. Energy safer. You’ll like to watch everything: movie, concert, sport,…. Enjoy in great quality for long period.

Major Upgrade!

In 2005 we got our first flat-screen Sony LCD TV for around $3,000. It's still running strong after all of these years and provided countless hours of entertainment. We thought it was long overdue to upgrade to a new TV with a much larger screen - we no longer wanted to pause the movie to walk up close to the screen so that we could read the movie's email or text messages. After some research, we decided to get an OLED Smart TV, and of course, we stuck with Sony as it has served us and performed so well. The XR A80J received such high recommendations in reviews and when combined with its current pricepoint, it made our decision a no-brainer. Overall, we found the setup process and navigation of apps very easy, and the picture and sound quality are amazing - text and email reading are now a breeze - a huge upgrade!

I love this tv but it only has two hdmi for 120 fps and the other two up to 60 it’s sad, wish all 4 had it. The blacks are great the images are picture prefect and work really well with my PS5.

Like being at the Movie Theater

This is a really nice TV. I found a great deal during the holidays for this awesome TV. They are not overstating when they say blacks are blacks in OLED TVs. There is no backlit on this TV, so it ends up being very thin. I'm glad I was finally able to afford an OLED TV. Very pleased with it. As with all Big Screen TVs, sounds is very average so I paired this TV with a high-end surround soundbar, and it is like a movie theater experience.

Amazing Ole absolutely stunning darks scenes

This TV was an absolute dream TV after extensive research this old lead is a fabulous TV for movies, 4K videos, and great for gaming. It’s a showstopper of the TV when it comes to dark absolutely love watching animated Disney movies, and many more movies that have very dark scenes, I felt like I was in space with Buzz Lightyear! And in the forest of Avatar!

Great TV. It is heavy so its recommended to be held by 2 people. I did it myself and I was scared that would fall but everything is good. TV definition is awesome, TV navigation is quick. Sound not that great but, well, which TV has a good sound integrated honestly?. I loved the quick bottoms of Netflix and such on the control. Also has Crunchyroll quick icon in the navigation which I loved.

Great picture, smooth running software

I’ve been happy with this tv. The picture is very nice, especially the blacks. The software runs without hiccups and is easy to use. The only thing I wish it had was a backlit remote but I can always get one down the road. Overall I’ve been very pleased with this television.

Awesome OLED and unbeatable BestBuy experience!
We love out Sony OLED tv. What's amazing is the stereo speakers are built into the front panel. It has a beautiful picture and great audio quality. The BestBuy associate was both knowledgeable on Sony and other brands to help me make an educated decision.

This is hands down the best picture quality I’ve ever seen. Wish I could have held out until Black Friday to get a deal for the 65 inch, but tv reviewers and enthusiasts are warning us that prices are gonna go up due to shortages when the item is in very high demand so I took my chance. I also wish I could have gotten a better discount for this as an open box purchase because the very next day the price for a new one went on sale too close to my purchase price. I bought the LG B9 last year to get a feel for OLED, I love the technology, once I saw reviews saying that Sony OLED’s provide a better picture quality I did my research and decided to wait on the Sony 2021 models. I am absolutely blown away. Could not be any happier. This one is for MOVIE LOVERS! HDR looks amazing. Highly recommend!

amazing movie watching tv

just picked up the new a80j this past oled tv this past monday from best buy and love it. i have an lg cx oled that i moved to my bedroom after purchasing this tv. lg looks good watching 4k content but this sony bravia xr a80j oled looks amazing. watching 4k content like movies in cinema mode is way better on the a80j as i have to turn vivid mode on the lg to get anything close to what i get on the bravia xr cinema mode. plus i love the imax enhanced mode you get for watching movies as you can find movies in imax 4k in bravia core which is a streaming site just for sony xr tvs that has a wide selection of 4k and 4k imax movies

Just an amazing TV. I’ve had it for about a year now. The picture quality is so crisp and clear. The sound is run through my Sony receiver to my ceiling mounted speakers..:it’s amazing. The Best Buy mounting was incredible and very professional.
