I have been a Sony customer for over 20 yrs. and this is my most expensive investment toward a 77” Sony OLED TV. My last TV that dead was a 70” LCD that I paid 7K back 13 years ago. Only repair was to replace the lamp once spending $200 bucks. I am so glad that I have invested towards a 4K OLED. I have added a media TV HUB that I can play all my download movies on an external USB 3.0 hard drive. The display is so awesome watching a true 4K movies. Over the weekend we watched Rampage and can’t believe the graphics display of the movie. This new OLED Technology ROCKS. I am a Hardware Engineer so I have a very strong understanding of how our new Technology is rocking our world. Sony keep up the great work. I always have faith in your products.

I have always had Sony electronics and been extremely satisfied with their quality. Best Buy employee convinced me to go with LG oled when I was shopping for a big screen tv since said they are leading company in oled technology. So I originally bought the LG oled 77 inch tv - it worked great for about 2 weeks and then would not turn on unless I unplugged the tv. I returned it for another one and a few hours after I had it, it did not turn on and had the same problem. I thought there might be an electrical issue since what are the chances two brand new tv’s would have the same problem and in fact Best Buy employees thought the same. I decided to exchange it with Sony and so glad I did! So far has been working perfectly with no issues. Picture is so much more crisper and clearer than LG in my opinion. Sound is also much better although I have a sound bar. I’m so much happier with the Sony than LG and definitely worth the extra $1000. I was pretty disappointed that two brand new LG oled’s had the same defect with the power. It so happens it was a defect in the tv’s since the Sony easily turns on and off with no issues. Go with the Sony - you won’t be disappointed!

It was between Sony and LG for a panel as large as 77". I originally looked at the LG but ultimately decided on the Sony. They both share the exact same OLED panel sources from Universal Display and manufacturered by LG but the Sony offers a little more in their processing specific to daily cable/satellite TV watching. This information is sourced through several weeks of comparing the two with available reviews on line from credible professional reviewers/testers. 4k HDR looks immaculate and is something I am now absolutely spoiled with. Daily satellite broadcasting does require some tweaking of the display settings but once you get it sorted out you don't have to go back in and change them. Keep in mind that Hdmi 2 and 3 are the two inputs that support the full 4k 60hz. This wasnt outlined in the manual very well if at all and requires some online research. There are some minor adjustments you need to make to those inputs out of the box. Overall setup was simple with Google assist/Android but would be nice to have an advanced user tutorial video available after setup.

This TV hands down is the best on the market. The picture and quality is hard to compare to anything else out there. LG is close but not exactly. The TV's sound alone is amazing for TV speakers. Sony did an amazing job with this product. I was originally look at Samsung's Q9F only to realize the QLED's arent actual OLED TV's. So i knew from then on the A1E was the best choice and i have had zero complaints about the TV.

4k UHD picture is unbelievable. Vibrant colors. Almost seems like you're the one holding the camera. Quality of blue ray movies are enhaned.

Great picture and good quality. Only downside which is shared by most higher end tv's is there are so many features they try to cram into a tv it becomes very complicated to use.

Recommend this OLED to anyone that just can't stand uncontrolled backlighting any more. It's expensive, but so was the "upgradeable" Samsung I bought 3 years ago. Sometimes you just gotta pay to get what you want. Glad I did.

How is no one brings up the elephant in the room and I think it’s all Sony TVs from what I’m told. When you watch a movie in 4k it will only play in widescreen so what’s the point of having a huge tv of half is cut off. Lg doesn’t do that! Offer multiple full screen options the angle on the tv ia crap and the screen starts to get screen deterioration quick. Would not recccomend Sony the new Oled look good physically but why would you buy a product that they don’t make themselves why wouldn’t you go to the ones who actually make the panel. Just saying the truth beware!
