The Sony a7II although it is slightly larger is still small if you have big hands. This grip gives it additional size and weight. I can shoot this camera for hours without becoming fatigued.

I use this grip for extending battery life of my A7s. Although The A7s has poor battery life this little extra give me double the life. Obviously it's because 2 batteries last longer than 1. I like that it adds a little weight to the camera as well.

Hi Dava, this vertical grip is for the Sony A7, A7S and A7R cameras. For the 2nd generation alpha 7 series, you could use the VGC2EM. Thanks_Mitch

This is a good idea, but it didnt work when I put it in my Sony A7II. I had to return it, but I think I just had a bad one.
