Speck - Smartshell Case for Macbook Pro 14" M5/M4/M3/M2/M1 (2021-2026) - Clear

bought this Smartshell Case for a new MacBook Pro. It was a little difficult to get on, which I wrote off to a snug fit. However, within a few weeks noted a crack in the plastic at one corner. No mishaps, drops, or other trauma. This computer stays at home, and gets moved from the bedroom to the adjacent room with a desk, on carpeted floors only. The crack advanced to an open hole, so I contacted Speck on their website. They have a very straightforward explanation on how to submit a warranty claim, with a 1 year warranty for this product. I sent them an email, with a photo, and the info on date of purchase, address, etc. I promptly received a cordial reply that a replacement case will be shipped to us. So a bad experience totally, satisfactorily taken care of. This is a company that I would trust, and will remain a customer in the future.

It's really pretty and fits snug. My only complaint is that I've not even had it 9 months and all 4 corners of the lid piece are cracked.

I bought this case in store same day I bought my m3 14in macbook pro. I’ve always kept my laptop in a padded carriying case with a hand and shoulder strap. I’ve never dropped my laptop, not even inside or outside the padded case. The shell has chipped up on the corners and the bottom has a crack. Maybe it fits to snug. But this is strange being that my macbook never been dropped or banged around.

I generally get cases for my laptops and this has, so far been the best, fits my M5 Macbook Pro perfectly, easy to get on, and if needed, get off. The back vent fan area is slightly more open (less covered) that I expected, but overall, a great case.

This Macbook case fits well and is lightweight - I think it will work very well!
