Incredible keyboard. For a few weeks after purchase I didn't really look into its full capabilities that much, but I recently looked into the rapid trigger and adjustable actuation functions and they are so fun. Both these settings really improve action gaming as well as help optimize typing. I'm a big fan of this board, its software is incredible and the physical build itself is also outstanding, I'd recommend it to anyone who games.

From its sleek aluminum build to its groundbreaking OmniPoint adjustable switches, the Apex Pro delivers a truly personalized and professional grade experience for both competitive gamers and discerning typists.

The Good: The features of this keyboard are great. The easily adjustable switch activation is perfect for moving between various game genres and daily task such as typing. The keyboard is well constructed and solid. Huge points for adding feet to the middle of the board which helps the keyboard feel planted and ensure there's no movement when using it. The palm rest is a hard plastic material with a soft rubberized coating on it, oddly enough I've found it pretty comfortable which surprised me, but it's nice they include it. The Doubleshot keycaps are a HUGE improvement to older keyboard keycaps we have seen from Steelseries, kudos on including them. The Meh: First off in the "Meh" section is the position of the USB-C connection. It's high on the side of the chassis and if you use the feet to angle your keyboard up at all the USB-C connector just looks silly, makes cable management a bit less tidy, and could lead to potentially damaging the connector. Next fo rthe "Mehs" is the sound of these new omnipoint switches. I dont know what changed with the switches themselves or the internal design of the keyboard but holy heck they are clacky. I have the original omnipoints in the Apex Pro Mini and it sounds much better while typing. The Apex Pro TKL sounds kinda... cheap by comparison. Lastly, it would be nice to have more integration in the OLED panel, controlling Discord mute/deafen or something of the like would be fantastic. The Bad: I'm including the switch sound in the bad as well, Steelseries missed an opportunity to make improvements in various areas by actually making the keystrokes sound worse (imo at least) than their first gen omnipoint boards. Lastly, I don't know if it's hardware or software but I've been troubleshooting the backlighting on my own and with Steelseries support (only via e-mail which is very unfortunate) due to the backlighting effects freezing every 5 to 10 seconds and then acting like it's suddenly "catching up" which is quite distracting when seeing flashes of light in your peripheral vision. Hopefully it's just a software issue but after a day and a half of exchanging e-mails and doing my own troubleshooting I'm still no closer to a resolution and this keyboard is currently hard to find in store so a fast swap out isn't possible.

Ive had 3 different steel series keyboards, 2 corsair and several Logitech. Steel series outshines them all, this model is by far the best. I wish i would have bought the full sized but this one does everything i need. The keystrokes are non clicky and very responsive, the build quality is very sturdy and can probably be thrown around a few times. Overall, great buy even at full price.

I wanted to give it a couple weeks before immediately jumping to write a review and I don’t have a single negative thing to say about it so far. Build quality is great. The lighting and the effects that can be customized either on the fly using the scroll wheel on the keyboard or the extended customization options through the app seem endless. The fact that you can choose what you want on the display screen is rad. I use this keyboard for WoW and every day workflow, so I don’t actually use the super sensitive key options available on this board, but if I ever switch back to CoD or another kind of FPS, I’ll be stoked I went with this 2023 model for the .2mm actuation distance. I upgraded to the “PRISMCAPS” and it looks great. Highly recommend purchasing them as well with the board. Dropping $300 for a keyboard, what’s an extra $30 to show it’s true potential, lol.

Great keyboard. New update that adds rapid trigger makes it tied for the best gaming keyboard for esports titles with the Wooting60he. Wooting60he has a better interface and a web based software. The steelseries software is REALLY annoying but I have all steel series devices so it works out fine for me. With this particular keyboard however you don’t even need software because it has the OLED screen and you can set everything up through that. Also can customize the OLED screen. This keyboard I feel like just hits every single pinpoint for every type of gamer. Hands-down the best for competitive gaming but even for casual gamers who are looking for a keyboard to both game and type on you can’t go wrong with the 10 keyless set up. Do you still have all your important key is well keeping it in somewhat of a smaller form factor so it doesn’t take up too much space. I went with the 60% layout for a while but it just got so annoying not having certain keys. Also the function button on 60% keyboard doesn’t work and start up so if you want to get into the bios for instance you’ll have to map a key to F2 and I had to map a key to delete in case I ever needed to control alt delete to get into the task manager. Switching back to a keyboard that has these keys but only takes up a few extra inches of desk space makes things just so much better!!!

As someone with nerve damage, this keyboard is an absolute dream to use. The ability to adjust the actuation for each key to fit the needs I have for different genres of gaming or just general typing has brought huge relief to my hands and a greater ability to type for longer periods of time. It's also light and portable and fits in my laptop bag no problem. The removable cable/mouse pad (which is extremely soft and easy to clean), 3 position height adjustment and built in key remover on the backside are excellent quality of life additions.

This is a very nice and detailed keyboard it is amazingly built has a crisp feeling when clicking each and every key they switches are super fast which makes it a legendary pick for gaming it includes an oled screen that you can customize it in the Steelseries app for free 10/10 pickup definitely worth the price it also comes with a keycap puller if you need to clean it every now and then.
