Still / Form is a 3 piece band that emerged in the midst of the stagnation of 2020, as people shuttered themselves in and thought of ways to pass the time. Guitarist/vocalist Robert Comitz's previous band, Marriage + Cancer, had recently dissolved and he was thinking of what was to come next. After trading out some gear, messing around with new sounds and tones, and coming across bassist Kirk Evans (Dark Numbers) and drummer Ryan Losli (Almost Is Nothing/Ireshrine), Still / Form took shape. They spent the better part of a year crafting songs in Comitz's recording studio, which made it easy to demo material as it came together. As they got the songs to where they wanted them to be, Still/Form recorded an album's worth of material. By the summer of 2021, they came out of their recording cave and played their first show. Things started moving along quickly after that as the record went through several mixes, eventually being put into the capable hands of Scott Evans (Kowloon Walled City) to work his magic on it. The result is, InchFrom the Rot Is a Gift.Inch Retaining some of the disturbing and jarring guitar work reminiscent of Marriage + Cancer, but with a much more sludgy heft, Still / Form plods and trudges through a gauntlet of experimental sounds, driving bass, and sharp attack. Comitz' raspy vocals provide an unsettling disposition against the music that can't simply be categorized as 'metal', or 'noise rock', but certainly can be filed into much broader and less definable terms, such as 'weird' and 'heavy'. Hex Records will be releasing Still / Form's debut full length, and in the meantime the band will be out and about playing more shows. InchFrom the Rot Is a GiftInch comes on special clear yellow with black streaks vinyl that will not only appeal to ears but eyes as well.

Lil Peep - Lil Peep Crybaby 1st Press 45rpm - n interviews that followed the of Crybaby, and even afterwards during press runs for HELLBOY as well as Come Over When You're Sober Pt. 1, one of the most consistently asked (and answered) questions that would be thrown at Peep usually teetered around the lines somewhat of Inchaye Peep, love what you've been doing with your past couple of projects man, but what's the deal with that massive Crybaby tattoo you got on your forehead?Inch - To which, he would typically answer, InchI got the Crybaby tat to keep me grateful, to remind myself that even if I'm going through a lot, there are kids across the world that don't even have clean water or know when their next meal will be, so I got it to remind myself that I need to be grateful for what little I have, and to keep pushing through for those who can't.Inch - With this context now surrounding the whole ethos of this project, it seems fitting that the whole mixtape essentially focuses on Peep's hopes, dreams, and overcoming the emotions that ever so powerfully bled through nearly every song on here one way or another. Whether it's through the haunting coke lines on InchLil JeepInch and the Radiohead-sampled InchFalling 4 MeInch, or through the ambitious glimpse into the future that initially got him signed in the first place with the Smokeasac-produced signature track InchNineteenInch, he flips blatant samples and turns them into his own songs. For example, there's a borderline InchWonderwall' cover (and hear me out on this one) in the shape of InchYesterday,Inch where he paints a bleak picture of getting out of a toxic environment with the chorus InchChange my name, shave my head // Tell my friends that I'm dead, run away from the pain // Yesterday is not today, it's not the same,Inch that winds up adding to the source material more often than it taking away anything. - More

Around the Fur the follow-up to Deftones' passionate, aggressive Adrenaline, sees the California quartet expanding on the sheer rage of their earlier work, adding new, more sinister shades to their already extreme sound. The opening InchMy Own Summer (Shove It),Inch serves as an introduction to the album's sonic theme sinewy guitars and eerie whispers alternate with fast, violent crunch. Sepultura's Max Cavallero contributes guitar and vocals to InchHeadup,Inch while InchMXInch finds singer Chino trading off vocal lines with Annalynn Cunningham, (wife of Deftones' drummer Abe) in an acerbic take on the rock star mentality. Vocal acrobat Moreno attacks a variety of styles his breathy, psychotic recitations sound downright industrial, while the album's calmer, more brooding moments show his gift for haunting melody. Behind him, guitarist Stephen Carpenter's heavy wall of sound is astoundingly muscular, yet inspiringly agile. When Deftones' hellish fury hits full tilt, as it always does on this album, Moreno's voice erupts into screams which are best described as otherworldly, transforming this intense musical firestorm into a hurtling juggernaut of aggression. This LP version comes pressed on 180 gram vinyl. Album Tracks 1. My Own Summer (Shove It) 2. Lhabia 3. Mascara 4. Around the Fur 5. Rickets 6. Be Quiet and Drive (Far Away) 7. Lotion 8.
