About this product
Jack's new album Love & Torture was produced and engineered by Roger Moutenot (Yo La Tengo, Sleater-Kinney). Rather than recording everything over a few days or weeks in the studio, the two met up sporadically over the course of many months, giving the songs plenty of time to gestate and evolve in stride with Jack's life. Like a collection of swirling and inviting mantras Love & Torture is a sonic dialog that pulses with the all of the grace and bliss that has touched Jack's incredible life. Album Tracks 1. The term supergroup gets thrown around a lot, but Giraffe Tongue Orchestra fit that description, and then some. The all-star collaboration unites Alice in Chains singer William DuVall, Mastodon guitarist Brent Hinds, Dillinger Escape Plan guitarist Ben Weinman, Dethklok bassist Pete Griffin, and former Mars Volta drummer Thomas Pridgen. Hinds, Weinman, Griffin, and Pridgen first came together last year to work on a full-length album. Early on in the sessions they were joined by Juliette Lewis, but ultimately they settled on DuVall to serve as their lead singer. Nevertheless, some of Lewis' vocals will be featured on the forthcoming LP. Album Tracks 1. Adapt or Die 2. Crucifixion 3. No-One Is Innocent 4. Blood Moon 5. Fragments & Ashes 6. Back to the Light 7. All We Have Is Now 8. Everyone Gets Everything They Really Want 9. Thieves and Whores 10. Broken Lines
