Straight Outta Compton / O.S.T. - Straight Outta Compton (Original Soundtrack) - VINYL LP

UK/EU reissue on 180-gram black vinyl. Originally released in 1988, Straight Outta Compton compelled the mainstream audience to see the hostile, underprivileged side to American living. N.W.A. did have an influential message. However, unlike Public Enemy's rational Fight the Power ethos, these teenagers were angrily brazen about sticking up a middle finger while possibly waving a AK47 in the other hand, in their pursuit of free speech. With Dre and DJ Yella on productions, the tracks were written predominantly by Ice Cube, while Easy E and MC Ren contributed with delivering the rhymes. It would be the group's notorious mantra F*k The Police that would create the most mayhem, with radio bans and FBI investigations. Nevertheless, the album reached double platinum sales status, being the first to do without commercial support. Album Tracks 1. Straight Outta Compton 2. F**k Tha Police 3. Gangsta Gangsta 4. If It Ain't Ruff 5. Parental Discretion Iz Advised 6. Express Yourself 7. Compton's N the House 8. I Ain't Tha 1 9. Dopeman 10. Quiet on Tha Set

Stray's decaying cybercity is made up of dense, neon-tinted narrow alleys populated by all manner of eccentric robotic denizens, an unwelcoming environment for a lone tabby of little stature. For the game's soundtrack, composer Yann Van Der Cruyssen captured that central idea - seeing a desolate cyberpunk metro from the eyes of an unassuming feline - and translated it into a synthy soundscape, filled with reverberating chords and driving, pulsing drum beats, punctuated by unexpected and welcome moments of instrumental whimsy.Collaborating with developer BlueTwelve Studios and Annapurna Interactive, iam8bit is proud to present, for your listening pleasure, the soundtrack to Stray on audiophile-approved 180g black vinyl, across a two-disc set. It's packaged in appropriately atmospheric album art from Fernando Correa, complete with foil embellishments.Even the smallest feline is a masterpiece of nature - and we hope you find this album to be a worthy tribute to our furry friends.
