About this product
Oh boy, now we're cooking. Now we're in the court of Sugar Tradition. Only a city like their hometown of Detroit could foster such a refined appreciation of rock'n'roll, r&b, and garage punk - and Sugar Tradition clearly have IT. The trio, consisting of Antonio Keka (guitar/vocals), Kevin Irwin (drums), and Arlo Betley (bass) are a complete force of nature live - contemporaries of the Stools, Toeheads, and 208. They're also fresh off a tour supporting none other than the Detroit Cobras.Sugar Tradition have managed to capture that raw, driving Motor City sound in damn near perfect form on 'More Sugar', their vinyl debut on Feel It Records. InchRockin' BabyInch kicks things into gear, anchored by a driving piano line that plays off a pounding rhythm section, allowing Keka's guitar and vocals to rule the high end of the mix. There's some tasteful harmonica and tambourine peppered throughout, but it's the raw, fuzzed-out sonics heard best on InchDon't Leave MeInch that may just steal the show. Oh yeah, did we mention the roaring rendition of Chuck Berry's InchCome OnInch? It's all recorded live, too. A stupendous fourteen minutes at 45 RPM. Sugar Tradition are one of the brightest sets of young heads on the face of planet rock'n'roll right now, and 'More Sugar' proves that to a tee.(STREET DATE - 10/13/2023)

140g Single black LP Robert Plant announces the of Saving Grace the first album featuring the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer's new band of distinguished players, which he calls Incha song book for the lost and found.Inch Arriving September 26 on Nonesuch Records, the genesis of Saving Grace began during a lockdown spent in InchThe Shire,Inch when Plant's customary wandering was all but forbidden. While his recent adventures have centred around Nashville, having reunited with Alison Krauss for 2021's chart-topping, multi GRAMMY-nominated Raise The Roof, it was in the English countryside that Robert Plant connected closely to this diverse group of musicians, who through their own experiences had a shared leaning towards his much-loved corners of evocative song. Together, Plant and Saving Grace - vocalist Suzi Dian, drummer Oli Jefferson, guitarist Tony Kelsey, banjo and string player Matt Worley, cellist Barney Morse-Brown - have spent the past six years growing into a wide-ranging workshop of styles and personalities, weaving through time and circumstance with joy and abandon. Saving Grace breathes fresh life into a collection of centuries-old music arranged by Robert Plant, Saving Grace and Sam Amidon, as well as more recent treasures by Memphis Minnie, Bob Mosley (Moby Grape), Blind Willie Johnson, The Low Anthem, Martha Scanlan, Sarah Siskind and Mimi Parker and Alan Sparhawk's Low. Album Tracks 1. Chevrolet 2. As I Roved Out 3. It's a Beautiful Day Today 4. Soul of a Man 5. Ticket Taker 6. I Never Will Marry 7. Higher Rock 8. Too Far from You 9. Everybody's Song 10. Gospel Plough

Limited red colored vinyl LP pressing. Beaster is the second album by Sugar, the short-lived but brilliant trio featuring former Husker du singer / guitarist Bob Mould. Released in April 1993, and recorded and mixed during the same intense sessions that produced it's 1992 predecessor Copper Blue, this concise 6-song suite entered the UK album charts at no. 3, a remarkable achievement for such a noisy and uncompromising rock record. Although darker in tone than the widescreen power pop of Copper Blue, Beaster contains some of Bob Mould's most powerful songs, from the splenetic frenzies of Tilted and JC Auto, the religious torture chamber imagery of 'Judas Cradle', the transcendent Feeling Better, or the elegiac finale Walking Away. Album Tracks 1. Come Around 2. Tilted 3. Judas Cradle 4. JC Auto 5. Feeling Better 6. Walking Away

After almost a decade-long hiatus, cult 6-piece Mfmb announced their return with the long-awaited album - Sugar. The followup to 2012's critically-acclaimed InchColossusInch, InchSugarInch revives the dark and driven alt-rock the Swedes made their name with -equal parts rigor and finesse, wracked with nervous tension. This time around, however, a democratic approach to the writing process was decided on, with each member contributing equally to the sound and feel of the record. The result is unmistakably the sound of Mfmb, but reinvented for these tempestuous times. The making of the album is a story in itself. InchSugarInch is seven years in the making. It has been a bumpy ride. They were not always the best of friends. Priorities changed. Members quit, then joined again. It was never easy. We believe you can hear it on the album, how every song is a result of differing opinions fighting it out until they landed. In the end, it's Mfmb, but ringing purer than ever before. Mfmb have remained prolific throughout their hiatus, which includes Joakim Lindberg becoming one of the underground scene's most in-demand producers, working with the likes of Hey Elbow, Spunsugar, This Is Head, and many more. Album Tracks 1. Sugar 2. Wanderlust 3. My Liberator 4. The Torment Had Begun 5. Harvest 6. Inside 7. The Hippy Shake (To Earn Your Love) 8. Lover's Cut 9. Six-Figure Income
