My adult daughter was excited when I got a Switch because she wanted to play Monkey Ball. She had very fond memories of playing Monkey Ball Banana Blitz on Nintendo Wii and wanted to relive that experience. Unfortunately, the experience was not the same. Part could be memory of a child, but I remember liking Monkey Ball also. We agreed that this was not as fun as we remembered. I think it could be that since Nintendo has had drastic changes in the functionality of their controllers over the years, it does not port well to the latest platform. It was alright, but not good or great. I'm just glad I got it on sale. On the plus side, the Anniversary Edition comes with an Art Book so you can see the evolution of characters and screenshots throughout the years. For a collector's piece, it may be worth buying, but if you want to play it and set on getting it, you may want to wait and find the best deal you can.

So many fun, challenging levels and some solid party games like monkey bowling and golf. The reward shop has some cool cosmetics and characters too. There are some features like online multiplayer and more character options in other game modes. Overall this is a great purchase that will keep you busy and engaged with all its content. Delivery service was great and came on launch day.

Great game and it’s nice to have the original Monkey Ball stages back from the first few games. Visuals and performance are great with only super minor hiccups every now and then. Mechanics and controls feel amazing, not identical to the old games but great in its on way. Online speedrun rankings are a nice addition and there are a lot of customization options. Two gripes though. First, the main game (challenge mode) can only be played in single player. The original games let you play them in multiplayer and it was a blast taking turns playing through the stages. The other gripe is that some party games don’t control well, mainly Monkey Target. Was really hoping that would be just like the good old days. But most the mini games are fun, especially Golf and Bowling. It’s not the best Monkey Ball game but it’s a really good one and easily worth it for the classic stages and gameplay.

The Super Monkey Ball franchise has never been as good as the original two games. It was great to get to reexperience them on the Switch.

Definitely a return to the best games in the Super Monkey Ball series. Some of the physics are different from the Gamecube days but still a lot more fun than a lot of the more recent games.

If you can get it on sale it’s a good experience. Sticks well to the monkey ball formula

it was pretty fun. It doesn’t control as well as the originals though. But the mini games are fun.

It's a fun party game to pick up every now and then, I just wish there was more than minigames to play in multiplayer. I never owned the originals, but I remember playing them at a friend's house and I wanna say you could do the challenge modes in 2-player mode? Aside from the lack of multiplayer variety, it's still pretty fun.

Super Monkey Ball is back! may not be a new game but it still sure is fun! Its SMB 1 and 2 on one little cart. Still as fun to play from years ago. Controls good, Graffix are nice, sound is ok. That is my only grip is that the original music isn't there. while the new music is ok i still love the old school o.g. renditions. A definite must buy.

This brings back nostalgic memories although the switch version loads a little slower than the PS5 (ps5 is 4k by the way) version and also and both versions they missed the mark with monkey Target it feels nothing like the original monkey Target from the game cube era. Only reason to buy the switch version is if you play hand held alot.

This game has monkeys rolling around in giant balls collecting bananas. What more could you want in a video game? This game features the first two SMB games (Super Monkey Ball, not Super Mario Bros.), but remastered for a new generation of hardware. It also includes a lot of unlockables including Sonic & the original SMB models from GameCube. It's as fun as it is challenging, at least unless you're the type of player that rage quits quickly.

I bought this for my 7 yr old son and we had a good evening with it. There was way more nostalgia for me but unfortunately, there didn’t seem to be enough to catch his attention. Some of the games seem to have aged better than others. Several we could figure out how to play. Overall, fun but not a must have.

I bought this for moneky target, lol, i use to play it on the Ganecube and it was a trip through memory lane. I am rating this based on my nostalgia and how fun the mini games are especially when played with family. This is not a AAA game that, it's a fun quirky game made for mutiplier and for short bursts of play.

My 5-year-old son loves monkeys, so this was on his list of games he wanted. I didn't think he would like it due to the increased difficulty, but he adores it. His older sister is like, "This is stupid." ... followed by hours of the two of them giggling uncontrollably and screaming with glee.

Monkey in a capsule ball. They go spin very fast. Monkey. Okay, but actually this is a pretty fun game. Has a couple cameo characters and amazing speedrunning potential. A lot of risk vs rewards here as well as some multiplayer modes to keep the ball rolling (hah, get it?).
