This is by far the best subwoofer I've ever owned. Was looking to replace a 14 year old Sony sub and I wanted to stay under $400. After doing some research, I pretty much discovered that a good sub starts at $500. Knowing that whatever I purchased would most likely be in use for the next 10 to 20 years. So I bit the bullet and bought the 3000 after reading tons of reviews, YouTube videos, and hearing the excited testimony of some of the Best Buy employees. 3 weeks later, I am now a diehard SVS fanboy. This sub is far beyond my expectations. To be honest my current setup would probably have worked great with a SB 1000 or the 2000. My sub is used in a 7.2 atmos setup powered by a Denon Avr whose primary use is for movies with some occasional music. The svs makes listening to music and watching movies seem like a all new experience. You feel every explosion, punch, crash, and gunshot. Svs makes adjusting the sub a painless task. Download the app and make adjustments from your favorite sitting position. If you're new to home theather, outside of the receiver and tv the 2 most important items you can buy are the subwoofer and your center channel. Don't go cheap on either of those. Buy right, cry once. Buy wrong cry twice. Your ears will thank you.

If you want to truly have that at-home theater experience in your home, look no further than this subwoofer. My husband and I recently upgraded our entire entertainment system, including the purchase of 2 of these subwoofers. I cannot even begin to explain how every fiber of my being feels the sound, especially during movies and listening to music, but even during commercials! The setup was fairly easy and the settings took a bit of tweaking but once we found the sweet spot, we were set. These subwoofers have transformed our living space.

One of the best sub out there . Very solid . I use it for movies and music , very accurate in frequency response . Blend seamlessly with my full range Klipsch Floor standing front speakers.Incredibly low frequency extension. Well designed and built cabinet. If you can bi amp your floor front speakers it’s even better which I did . They only regret I had was not getting it sooner because of its price but Best Buy hooked me up with the 12 mos no interest financing . It’s a win win. So don’t wait and purchase it at Best Buy today.

You can spend 3,4,5k or more on a great sub and frankly it depends on size of your space and quality of unit driving the sub. First of all SVS subs blow away just about anything out there regardless of price. I think their top of line is 2500.00. The SB 3000 is about 1000.00. Worth every penny. Built tough as nails this baby comes in at 55lbs. I tested it with YouTube 40hz , 30hz and 20hz sub test tones. Past each test by rattling my bones not the woofer. Cheaper subs have distorted rattles and cannot handle 40hz at decent volume let alone 30 or 20hz. You aren’t even coming close with Polk, pioneer, JBL or countless other store brands SVS SB 3000 is reference quality. I listen to prog metal, jazz fusion, blues and experimental stuff too all very well recorded and played back in SACD and HiRes. The SVS App makes it easy to dial in from the listening position and works flawlessly. They kept it simple so it works every time! SVS customer experience is second to none! I purchased the SB2000 Pro first and Kudos to Best Buy they exchanged it no problem. The 3000 just seemed like it would be better for Blue Ray movies and streaming and I was right. If I had room I’d get the 4000 lol Honestly you cannot go wrong. Play with settings a little and you will find the sweet spot. I didn’t get the ported option because I listen to more music these days and I like the clarity and punch a sealed sub has.............................subterranean!

I replaced two KEF subs with this one. It blends seamlessly with the other KEF speakers in my home theatre. Deep, satisfying bass with no vibrations customary for cheaper subs. It can literally be felt, especially when watching movies. No regret, except the fact that I didn’t buy two.

Added this SB3000 in addition to 4 Klipsch subs. Watched Edge of Tomorrow again and heard or felt new vibrations. It was like watching a new movie. Now just have to decide on a projector.

I received these the other day, they replaced a pair of the SVS PB-1000 subs. The ported subs were fantastic, don't get me wrong... I went sealed and larger for a couple of reasons... The ported SVS subs had a bit of a chuff, and would at times get a little boomy, no matter how much tuning I did, most all ported subs have these characteristics. They were good with music, but not great, not what I personally was looking for, which is again to be expected with ported subs. Back to the SB-3000 subs, they are night and day and a breath of fresh air over their ported brethren. Musically, they add much needed depth that a ported sub cannot match. Movies, the bass is tight, there is no delay, it just happens seamlessly, it is just there, you feel the bass sonically... And these will rattle the dishes in the kitchen if you want them too... I don't, so I installed the SVS SoundPath Isolation feet along with raising the subs a good 6 inches off my wood floor, and then tuned appropriately using Audyssey on the Denon X4400H along with some manual tinkering. Now, you hear the subs, not the house and everything else in the room. When you get them properly tuned in, you should not hear them, they should blend in like they are just another part of your speakers, not a stand alone unit. And that is where you start hearing the depth of the music if you listen in two channel audio (stereo), like a record or streaming. It can put you right in the studio or club, like you are right there in the room. That is what two of these subs will do, it will be the same with movies, it makes a HUGE difference. Yes, I will recommend these, they hit hard, fast and are incredibly detailed as far as a subwoofer goes at this price point. Yes, larger subs will have a more dramatic effect, but these SB-3000 subs are a very good size for most rooms, and they will not break the bank for the sound you will receive, they can knock pictures off the wall. If you want the best sound, purchase two of these, if you have never run dual subwoofers, you do not know what you are missing. See if Best Buy will honor the SVS pricing when buying in pairs... SVS also has a buyers bill of rights, a generous upgrade program and incredible customer service. They are right there in Youngstown OH... And on a side note, I am using the SVS Ultra bookshelf speakers and Ultra center channel, Emotiva surrounds bringing up the rear due to their small size. The subs and speakers compliment each other extremely well. Oh, I built the AV and speaker stand... ;-) I hope this review helps.

In room response is even deeper than 18hz and it plays very loud. The phone app 3-band equalizer is a great plus for manipulation from 20-200hz. Strongly recommended for its smooth sound and small footprint. Buy it soon as this model is being replaced in the near future. At the $999 current price, it's a strong buy.

Look no further than this subwoofer. You will not be disappointed. We use for home theater mainly with some music listening and gaming. This sub sounds absolutely fantastic. Can shake your walls with ease while still sounding ckran and crisp. The app makes it so easy to adjust as needed. Look no further. For the price this sub is definitely worth a look.

Good not great. I have heard great things about SVS so I took the plunge. One thing that immediately stood or is the output given its rather compact size. It has TREMENDOUS output/power for it's size. Integration is decent: not bad but not the best. The bass it produces seems overpower music as opposed you being a part of it. It stands out. Yes, yes, I am aware you can adjust gain and phase and a myriad of other things. In the end, I prefer the tonality and integration of the REL HT series and the Monolith by Monoprice (both of which I own) better. They better suit my needs. If you need something compact and powerful, this may be a good choice. If you are coming from a Polk, Klipsch, JBL, Def Tech type sub, the SVS is an upgrade. Again, comparing to the subs I own, I don't like it as much. For techie people who love fine grain control, you may love the app. You can control any/everything about this sub. It definitely is not bad; I just wasn't overly impressed.

This is my firsdt active subwoofer so I've been watching a lot of videos and reading articles. Integrating a subwoofer in to your stereo requires a little time and commitment. Not just set and forget. Fortunately the sb 3000 has an app that helps make setting up a lot easier. I've been pleased with the flexibility of the unit and the impact it's having on my sound quality.

Keeping it short, its fantastic. Good punch, smooth bass, no drone or boominess. Will shake the walls if you want. Music sound warm, and movies have depth.

Compact subwoofer with just enough bass not to break walls. Go for this if you live in apartments with shared walls. Clarity bass with out muddy, do not recommend if you prefer wall shivering bass.

This is truly an incredible sounding subwoofer. I didn’t know much about it. I watched a couple of YouTube videos on how to set sit up. Once set up this thing changed the game! The deep bass it produces is unlike any other subwoofer I have purchased. Completely satisfied with this speaker. Currently, I have it on a low setting and this thing is shaking the entire upstairs. Truly brings out the gaming experience.

Beautiful sub. Easy to use. The cellphone app interface with instant control over the output of your woofer is easier to use than ordering a pizza…did I mention it sounds incredible? I’ll be adding a second one to my home theater because more is always better.
