The 43S517 started into production last year but was still manufactured in 2019. The number after the letter "S" is the series so we are really looking at the differences between the 4 and 5 series. All the TVs you listed are 4K Ultra High Definition so they all have great screens but in most areas the new 5 series, 43S525 offers a few advantages. Q: How do I get network channels on this - like CBS, ABC, NBC, Hallmark, etc.
A: There's 3 ways to get network channels etc.. 1. Subscribe to a cable company service. 2. Hook up an external over the air antenna. 3. Subscribe to one of the built in apps. I personally chose option 3 and subscribed to Youtube TV. It gives me all the local network channels plus about another 50 popular channels or so that you would typically find using cable, all for about $50 a month. It doesn't include the Hallmark channel but I believe there's a Hallmark app on the tv that you can use to subscribe to them if you want, otherwise you'd have to figure out which of the available services out there include that channel in their lineup.
A: There are options available to adjust the picture settings to better fit your personal preference. You can access the Options menu on the TV by pressing the asterisk (*) button on your remote while watching content. Additionally, you can access expert picture settings by downloading the free Roku mobile app on a smartphone or tablet. The Roku mobile app works as a remote and allows you to access additional features like voice search, private listening, expert picture settings, and more. Hope this helps & happy viewing!
