Limited 180gm vinyl LP repressing of this classic album from the new wave icons. Blondie is the eponymous debut album by Blondie, released in December 1976 on Private Stock Records. The first single InchX OffenderInch was originally entitled InchS*x OffenderInch but since radio stations would not play a song with such a provocative title, the band renamed the song. After disappointing sales and poor publicity, the band ended their contract with Private Stock and signed with Chrysalis Records in 1977. Chrysalis re-released the album in September 1977, along with the single InchIn the FleshInch. The album reached #14 in Australia, where the band had already had a Top 3 hit with InchIn the FleshInch. The album also charted at #75 in the UK in early 1979, where the band had become immensely popular. Album Tracks 1. X Offender 3 14 2. Little Girl Lies 2 07 3. In the Flesh 2 32 4. Look Good in Blue 2 55 5. In the Sun 2 40 6. A Shark in Jet's Clothing 3 39 1. Man Overboard 3 21 2. Rip Her to Shreds 3 22 3. Rifle Range 3 41 4. Kung Fu Girls 2 32 5. The song that burst Blondie out of the streets of the Bowery to #1 on the charts, InchHeart of GlassInch was the pivotal moment in punk's choreographed slamdance with the mainstream. Inspired by Kraftwerk and Giorgio Moroder, Blondie transformed their campy InchOnce I Had A LoveInch into a Roland-driven juggernaut and never looked back. Explored and exploded via six distinct versions remastered from the original analog tapes, the history of InchHeart of GlassInch is documented here in a copious essay and it's art reimagined by noted American illustrator Shepard Fairey. Album Tracks 1. Heart of Glass (12Inch Version;2004 Remastered Version) 2. Heart of Glass (Basic Track) 3. Heart of Glass 1. Once I Had a Love (The Disco Song) (1975 Version) 2. Once I Had a Love (Aka the Disco Song) (1978 Version) 3. Heart of Glass (Original 12' Instrumental Version; 1999 Digital Remaster)
