This is a classic of the Doris Day collection. The supporting cast is stellar and the comedy is spot on snd no need to cover my kids eyes/ears!

I have several Doris Day movies. I am glad that I waited and got this one on bluray. She is that girl next door and will always be in my heart. I hope that they add the rest of her movies to bluray.

The film looks great on blu-ray. The humor is dated and so is almost everything else, but if you’re a fan of the film or of Doris Day, it’s a gem.

The Glass Bottom Boat is a classic 1960's screwball comedy that covers all sorts of subjects, including that era's fascination with the aerospace industry. Doris Day plays a widowed part-time mermaid (who swims underneath her father's glass bottom boat) who ends up hired as a secretary by an aerospace tycoon and embroiled in a slapstick sort of spy drama where romance eventually ensues. Great performances from Doris Day, Rod Taylor, Paul Lynde, Dick Martin, and Dom DeLuise are a treat for the viewer.

They don't make movies like this one anymore. Classic movie making the good days of happy story lines, light comedy, romance all in one.
