Ever since that fateful day in 2004 when The Lego Star Wars game was released on 6th generation consoles, a franchise was born. Not just relegated to the popular toy line (there were games in the past that were popular, just not on the level of LSW) and DTV movies based on the Bionicle line of figures, this was a series of games here to stay. The potent combo of the creative building tools and possibly the most popular pop culture series of all time proved irresistible to kids and adults. This success gave way to more bricksets related to film and TV, more DTV films, actual films and, of course, a veritable tidal wave of Lego (insert movie here) games. This one is based on the really good, but not good as, sequel, based on one of my favorite films of the past decade. Following the plot of the film rather closely, this is a game that has stuck to what has pretty much worked for 15 years or so, warts and all. You are one of several Lego characters from the film, where you collect every stray brick from destroying various environmental objects, enemies and buildings, and build your way to the end of the game. The formula gas gotten rather old and somewhat stale over the decade and a half, with Lego City Undercover being the last real refreshing title, almost a decade earlier, but it's still a charming game to play. It's funny, has some brightly colored environs and character designs, simple gameplay for the younger kids out there and plenty of collectables to gather. Most of the voice cast from the film return to breathe some life into the game and add a boost for adults to enjoy. Tie-in games usually are largely awful and practically died for a few years around the end of Gen 7 consoles, but this one is good enough to have a space on your shelf.

I finished the basic story mode of the game and this was so much fun and the ease and creativeness that the LEGO games have come is at it's height with this game. This was the least expensive place to get this edition and it came with a collector's patch inside. The graphics and color palette are gorgeous!

If you're a fan of the previous LEGO games and you enjoyed the LEGO movies, you'll probably enjoy this latest video game release from TT Fusion. It's a little more open world than previous releases, somewhat like LEGO Worlds from a few years ago, but still true to the main elements of the movie.

Feels like I'm playing the movie. The controls are basically the same as other Lego games. Progress it okay, but not the best. The voice acting is on point and Batman is so hilarious.

It was very fun and followed the movie. I have two boys and they loved it. Wish it was a little longer. Great though.

Plays a lot like Lego World's. It's not a typical Lego game but still lots of fun. Tons of characters and collectibles to keep you busy.

Another solid Lego game. If you like scanning things, collecting things, jumping around on things, racing through obstacle courses before time runs out, and solving easy puzzles then you will like this game. It's a typical Lego game. Just FYI all Lego games are somewhat glitchy and this one is no exception. Expect the occasional crash and for a couple of trophies to glitch out and not pop.

Game loosely follows the movie and is a mash-up of previous LEGO game experiences with the LEGO worlds where you build a portfolio of items you can build later. It’s a good game but not quite what I expected.

Like all the Lego games, this one also does not disappoint. The continuous action along with the great graphics makes this an enjoyable game to play. The gamers in my family have a hard time breaking away from the console. PS and Lego: please keep up the great work for gamers young and old alike.

I have a 9 yr old girl and 11 year old boy. They can both play together and enjoy. My son doesn't get bored playing with his sister which is a plus especially when she harasses him to play with her.

My 5yo loves this game. It is pretty easy to understand, although there is plenty of reading needed for tasks throughout the game. It is less complex than say the Lego Avengers 1 and 2 games, and it is cute and fun. Would recommend!

Another solid entry in the LEGO gaming franchise. This follows the movie fairly well and I would suggest watching the movie first before playing the game to avoid any spoilers. Great for kids and the co-op is also enjoyable.

These games never get old. Our family loves the LEGO movies and the games do such a great job of importing wonderful aspects of the movie while still providing their own uniqueness to our consoles.
