A Confederate officer (Scott) leads a regiment on a raid of Yankee goods in Nevada. Little does he know that the Civil War is over, and now he and his men must face prosecution, in “Hangman’s Knot” (1952). Donna Reed and a young Lee Marvin also star. And, Scott stars as former member of Quantrill’s Raiders who gets mixed up in an old comrade’s scheme to hijack stagecoach gold shipments, in “The Stranger Wore a Gun” (1953).
