Older movie I remembered from my youth because my mother used to love it. It's not too bad, but it probably doesn't deserve any awards. Kevin Bacon is the best part of the movie as he usually always plays this type of role well.

This movie is a great river adventure with good casting (David Strathairn is outstanding as the Dad), thrilling photography, and a very interesting plot that pulls you in from the start

This is definitely a purchase for you that can appreciate the outdoors, for its strength and beauty. This flick is one of my favorite Kevin Bacon movies. His character, Wade, is a fugitive on the run, which I could easily mistake him for Michael Myers in Halloween. . Bacon has captured the role of a cocky, good 'ole boy, creepy psycho path, selfish fugitive; where nothing will stop him from his freedom point. The conflicting personalities between Wade, Bacon, and Gail, Streep, is brillant. They compliment each other well. The boy from Jurassic Park also stars in it. You will realize that not only will they struggle with each other, but with mother nature also.....One of my favorites, worth the buy!!
