The Wiz is one of the best musicals and adaptation of the Wizard of Oz. Diana Ross, and Michael Jackson are among the many performers. One of my favorite quotes "what would you like on your hot dog!" Very funny!

This is one of my all time favorite musicals from my childhood and is still great over time.

This is one of the greatest musicals ever. I grew up loving it as a kid and watched it regularly with my family. My kids grew up loving it. I just purchased 2 copies of this DVD as Christmas gifts for both of my college bound daughters. They were overjoyed & happy to add The Wiz to their personal collection of movies. Everyone needs this movie in their library!

Move the Wizard of Oz to New York City and season with the African-American experience. At 2 hours and 15 minutes the story drags at points, but the music and choreography more than makes up. The cast was chosen accordingly. Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Nipsy Russell, and Ted Ross play the principals. The movie also illustrates an old show business saying I remember as, “heroes get the best parts, but villains get the best production numbers.” “Don’t Nobody Bring Me No Bad News” (sung by Mabel King) cooks and would be fun to play as a musician. The choreography’s energy and demand compliments the music. (That is true for many other pieces, too.)

I love this movie, It has a great all star cast, and sing along music. In high school my drama class performed this as a play and I played the part of Evilene, "The Wicked Witch of the West". I loved it. This great movie brings back memories. I love it and you will too.

My 3 year old grandson loves this movie! He sings and dance on all the parts! He loves the scarecrow and the lion. I love all the characters and the plot!

I just saw the live Wiz on TV. I had to see the original Wiz with Micheal jackson and Diana Ross. The original one is still the best....
