Top-Of-The-Line Equipment
BOTTOM LINE: The Theragun PRO (5th Generation) is currently their Top-Of-The-Line percussion massage therapy tool. Designed to be used to aid in post-workout recovery, relieve every day muscle tension/soreness, and assist in athletic/sport training. Overall after using for one week, I would highly recommend, especially if you work out regularly, have a specific injury that can be alleviated with percussion therapy, or consider yourself an athlete. ATTACHMENTS: Includes 5 additional useful attachments (Dampener, Thumb, Wedge, SuperSoft, MicroPoint), plus the original Standard Ball. The larger ones are better suited for bigger muscle groups (quads/hamstrings/glutes) and the smaller ones for more trigger point work/smaller muscle groups (especially good for traps/rhomboids). Note that this is not meant to be used as a massage replacement - you only need a few minutes to feel the effects. A little goes a long way! All attachments store in their own separate pouch that fits into the included soft travel case. PROS: Very easy to use, quick charging, travel portable, plenty of attachments to choose, fairly quiet, visually-guided built-in routines, and powerful with 16mm of amplitude. Add to that mix, Bluetooth enabled for the Therabody application that support 80+ routines. For my use, it satisfies all of my requirements. CONS: This 5th Gen includes one battery while previous 4th Gen model includes two batteries. But the 150 minute battery (aka 2.5 hours) that is quick charging, and for home use, a single battery is actually more than sufficient. If you are a business providing therapy relief for clients, then I would see a need for rotating a second battery. The 5th Generation is designed to be a heavy duty percussion massage therapy device and may be a tad too bulky for some users. Using the lowest setting is pretty powerful, not necessarily a major problem, but again may be too much for some users. (Seriously consider your intended use requirements before choosing this unit.) PRICE: Although one of the most expensive percussion tools available (there are other less costly copy-cat devices that are flooding the therapy tool space), the Therabody brand markets a range of percussion tools to compete with those. But if you deserve the best, I believe the Theragun PRO 5th Gen is your only choice. RATING: I had considered a 4 rating losing a point due to the premium cost and hefty size. But after thoughtful consideration, I fell on the side of those are not negatives. Actually they are the price one pays for first-class equipment, technology innovation, superior features, and design quality. BACK-STORY: Originally developed by chiropractor Dr. Jason Wersland in 2008 to relieve his pain from a 2007 motorcycle accident by modifying a variably speed Jig-Saw with a Golf Ball attachment. (Say what?) And that is how you become an innovated industry leader dominating the competition creating what is now known as the Massage Gun Therapy market space. Be the first, be the smartest, and be the best!

The Undisputed King of Massage Guns
The effectiveness of the Theragun Pro's ability to help me relieve muscle aches, ease foot pain, and help with post workout recovery, has made me integrate this massage gun into my daily routine. While this massage gun (or any massage gun for that matter) is still not a proper replacement for a sports massage therapist, I do feel a difference in terms of relief when using the Theragun Pro as compared to when I don't. I've used several inexpensive massage gun options in the past. A few things that instantly stood out to me with this fifth generation Theragun Pro is it's amazing amplitude, it's incredibly versatile handle with articulating massage arm, top notch build quality, the best attachments I've ever used on any massage gun, and massage/therapy programs that I can follow along with either directly through the OLED screen or through the Therabody app. Oh, did I mention the crazy amount of stall force on this Theragun Pro? I've never not been able to stall a massage gun; until now. Out of curiosity, I applied as much pressure as I could while using it on my hand to try and get it to stall and was unsuccessful. Do you really need a massage gun to be this powerful? Maybe not everybody, but it's nice knowing that this massage device is capable of producing the deepest tissue massage out of any massage gun on the market (should you ever need to use it). The reason that the percussive massage of this gun feels so good (at least to me) is because of it's high amplitude (16mm) percussive massage ability. After trying a few different massage guns in the past, 14-16mm has become the sweet spot for me. This provides a deeper and punchier massage that I personally prefer over the vibration type therapy that a lot of other more economic massage guns seem to provide. The speed range of 1750-2400 PPMs is more than enough with this level of amplitude. Another thing that completely sets this massage gun apart for me, is it's iconic handle. No matter what area I'm targeting, I can re-position my grip to whatever feels more natural or comfortable. For me, no other massage gun has come close to providing this level of grip versatility. The attachments that come with the Theragun Pro are by far the best attachments I've ever used on any massage gun (and the best currently on the market in my opinion). The quality is just unrivaled. Every massage gun has their "go-to" all around primary attachment. In this case, it's Theragun's "Dampner" which is the brand's universal attachment. It's easily the best universal attachment I've used due to it's tapered circular shape and the high quality material used. I've also had constant issues with other massage gun attachments getting stuck to my clothing and this hasn't happened at all with any of the Theragun attachments. The "Wedge" attachment has been amazing for my IT bands, my arms, and shoulder blades. Another attachment that does wonders for me is the "Thumb" attachment. I use this a lot on my lower back and my trigger points on my feet whenever I've had a really physical day at work and feel some discomfort in my feet. My feet feel a lot more relieved right before bed and the day after. A huge benefit to getting this Theragun Pro (and yet another favorite feature of mine) is being able to take advantage of all the preset routines available on Therabody's mobile app. There are 4 preset routines (i.e. Relax, Warm-up, Recover, Sleep) saved directly onto the Theragun's memory that you can use without the app. You also get a nice little visual aid on the OLED display that tells you what part of your body to target. However, for me, the real benefit was in the routines available in the mobile app. There's preset routines for your lower back, bedtime rituals to help you relax, carpal tunnel, "tech neck" for those sedentary workers, sciatica, a ton of different warm-up routines for various sports and activities, several post-workout routines for different sports, and so many others. I do wish that there was a way to save some of these pre-sets directly onto the Theragun Pro so you wouldn't have to always depend on the mobile app. The plethora of routines that are available take this from being a simple percussive massage gun to being a tool that can also be used for relaxation and stress relief. The Theragun Pro is without a doubt, the best percussive massage device that I've used to date due to the aforementioned reasons. Some last final points that enhanced my experience of using the Theragun Pro is the fact that it uses a standard USB-C charging port, it comes with a premium carrying case with probably the softest velour (on the inside) that I've ever felt, a small carrying case with pockets for each individual attachment, and a 45W USB-C power block and cable. While the Theragun Pro is likely one of the more expensive (if not the most expensive) massage gun options out there, it's also the best massage gun on the market in my opinion. If you're a serious athlete or you're just someone who wants the absolute best option on the market to get some great percussive body relief on the go, I highly recommend giving the Theragun Pro a try!

Battery wont charge after one day of ownership.
Bought the gun on 10/10/23, used it that night and the next day. When it came time to charge the device, I plugged it into its included charger and it started charging. Randomly at 68%, the thing started cycling power on and off and never went up another percent. I tried different wall outlets, and a different charger. This is INSANE how its the most expensive one on the market as far as I know and its basically dead on arrival. And now what? Do I go get the same one and hope it doesnt have issues outside of my return policy. Ive seen others online complaining of similar issues.
