About this product
The present is the ninth volume in the Thomas Jensen Legacy series from Danacord, and it is a sumptuous feast of popular but now little-known Danish repertoire, mostly given in live broadcast concerts by Thomas Jensen and the DRSO, newly remastered and issued here for the first time. A Hans Christian Andersen memorial concert casts orchestral enchantment on album 1, while extracts from two portrait concerts on album 2 revive the distinctively Danish idioms of Hamerik and Sandby. Album Tracks 1. Intermezzo Af Operaen Historien Om en Moder (1941) 2. Procession Af Operaen Kejserens Nye Klæder (1926-27) 3. Fra H. C. Andersens Billedbog, Op. 20 (1954), Førsteopførelse 4. Fra H. C. Andersen-Balletten Tolv Med Posten, Op. 37 (1942) 5. Suite Af Balletten Den Lille Havfrue (1920) 6. I Anledning Af - (1934) 7. Det Er Ganske Vist!, Symfonisk Fantasi Efter H.C. Andersen (1944) 8.
