Q: Will this router work well with a 4100 square foot home?
A: To ensure the best possible signal, it is important to make sure placement is as optimal as possible. Reducing obstructions and placing the router in a central location will help ensure your signal reaches the areas you need. That being said, for a 4,100 square foot home, we would instead suggest considering one of our Deco Mesh WiFi solutions, such as the Deco M5. Regards, TP-Link Support
Q: WPA3?
A: I didn’t see this option when setting it up. I thought the new wifi security standards were expected alongside WiFi6 hardware, which this is not.
A: If the cause of their speed issues are due to their existing router (i.e. poor WiFi signal), this can potentially help. However, if the source of their slow connection is due to the nature of satellite Internet (high latency), this may be due to the provider/service, not the router. Regards, TP-Link Support
Q: Can I plug in my Samsung S9 to the USB tether to share internet to other devices? (TV, ROKU, etc...)
A: No, the USB port is for a hard drive. Cant think of way you may achieve this. On less you use a usb-c hub with a network port.
Q: Malware protection included?
A: The Archer C2300 includes HomeCare, which provides robust Parental Controls, QoS and Antivirus features for your network.
A: Yes, as long as your Internet connection is provided via Ethernet (from the ONT), it can be used.
Q: Is this router compatible with Windows 8?
A: The router is universally compatible with operating systems.
Q: is this router wall mountable also is it good for an apart ment building
A: There are 2 slots on the back or underside of the router. They are designed to fit over the head of small screws. I have a small wire hooked into each hole at each end of the wire. The wire is then hooked over a screw head in the wall.
