Simply screw them in, and my Android phone instantly detected them as Matter-certified. After scanning the QR Code included in the packaging, within a minute they were ready to use. I have both a Google Home and Alexa Smart Home environment. TheTL135E's works well in either environment. I used Alexa to pair these two bulbs together, so a voice command will turn on or off both at the same time using Hey Google or Alexa. The Tapo app enhances the settings by allowing fine-tuning of the LED colors and brightness, whether setting the white Kelvin color or a rainbow of other colors! The Tapo app also allows me to set a Schedule to turn on or off the lights based on sunrise, sunset or any time you choose. The app also shows energy usage for the past day, 7 days or 30 days.

[Employee of bestbuy] These light bulbs get really bright, and I love that they are matter bulbs so it’s super simple to use them with my Apple Home. I also love that they offer local control, so they respond very quickly. However, my bulbs pairing codes came mislabeled. First, two of my bulbs share the exact same pairing code, however, both bulbs actually used different pairing codes than what was put on the bulb. A third bulb used the pairing code printed on the first two. One of the bulbs doesn’t pair with any of the codes. So just beware that these bulbs may not have the right pairing codes, which will make them impossible to use with other Matter devices. I will be exchanging these bulbs and I should update the review with more information. If I don’t update this review, the new bulbs are likely working well.

These Matter supported bulbs have been excellent. I have been using them for about 3 weeks now. Super easy to pair with both my Google Home, and Apple Homekit, and have worked reliably and seamlessly in both ecosystems. I've had no drop-offs or issues with them. The Tapo app is actually pretty good as well. Colors are fairly accurate, and dimming works great. Having had some poor experiences with other smart bulb brands, I can highly recommend these.
