I purchased a 5-pack of the Tapo TL135E smart bulbs on January 2, 2025, and I've been very happy with them so far! Setting them up was easy peasy – the process was quick and intuitive. I primarily use them with Alexa, and the integration has been seamless. The Tapo app is user-friendly, which is a huge plus for someone like me who isn't super tech-savvy. I love how bright and colorful these bulbs are, especially when I switch them to different colors. They really liven up the room! So far, I mainly use them to turn the lights on and off with voice commands via Alexa. I've also linked them to my morning alarm, so the lights gradually brighten to help me wake up. It's a much gentler way to start the day! While I haven't explored all the features yet, I can already see the potential. I would definitely recommend these bulbs, especially to anyone who is new to smart home technology or who wants a simple, reliable, and affordable way to add smart lighting to their home. If you are more tech savvy than me, you will love all the other features! Pros: Easy to set up and use. Seamless integration with Alexa. Bright and colorful lighting. User-friendly app. Great value for the price. Cons: None so far! Overall: The Tapo TL135E smart bulbs are a fantastic choice for anyone looking for a simple, reliable, and affordable way to add smart lighting to their home. The easy setup, seamless Alexa integration, and bright, colorful lighting make them a winner! I would recommend them to anyone interested in smart home technology, especially beginners.

The Tapo TL135E 2-pack is the perfect light bulb product when automating your home! These Matter-enabled LED bulbs are so simple to setup. Simply screw them in, and my Android phone instantly detected them as Matter-certified. After scanning the QR Code included in the packaging, within a minute they were ready to use. I have both a Google Home and Alexa Smart Home environment. TheTL135E's works well in either environment. I used Alexa to pair these two bulbs together, so a voice command will turn on or off both at the same time using Hey Google or Alexa. The Tapo app enhances the settings by allowing fine-tuning of the LED colors and brightness, whether setting the white Kelvin color or a rainbow of other colors! The Tapo app also allows me to set a Schedule to turn on or off the lights based on sunrise, sunset or any time you choose. The app also shows energy usage for the past day, 7 days or 30 days.

The TP-Link Tapo Smart Light Bulb is an excellent choice for those looking to add smart lighting to their home. It’s easy to install and connects seamlessly to the Tapo app, where you can control brightness, color temperature, and scheduling. The energy-efficient LED bulb is compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, allowing for convenient voice control. The customizable settings, like timers and away mode, enhance home security by mimicking occupancy. While the Tapo ecosystem is somewhat limited compared to other brands, the affordability and reliability of the Tapo Smart Light make it a great entry-level option for smart home enthusiasts.

[Employee of bestbuy] These light bulbs get really bright, and I love that they are matter bulbs so it’s super simple to use them with my Apple Home. I also love that they offer local control, so they respond very quickly. However, my bulbs pairing codes came mislabeled. First, two of my bulbs share the exact same pairing code, however, both bulbs actually used different pairing codes than what was put on the bulb. A third bulb used the pairing code printed on the first two. One of the bulbs doesn’t pair with any of the codes. So just beware that these bulbs may not have the right pairing codes, which will make them impossible to use with other Matter devices. I will be exchanging these bulbs and I should update the review with more information. If I don’t update this review, the new bulbs are likely working well.

These Matter supported bulbs have been excellent. I have been using them for about 3 weeks now. Super easy to pair with both my Google Home, and Apple Homekit, and have worked reliably and seamlessly in both ecosystems. I've had no drop-offs or issues with them. The Tapo app is actually pretty good as well. Colors are fairly accurate, and dimming works great. Having had some poor experiences with other smart bulb brands, I can highly recommend these.

Very impressed with the ease of use, range of color variations, control of brightness. All around great purchase.

Several months ago, they are still lighting, like an echo bulb, the color changes are fun and I like that they’re linked to my echo so I can turn them off with nobody is home.

They work perfectly and are a breeze to setup. Love the app features. Just need to figure out how to change the color of multiple bulbs in the same group/room at once. Highly recommend these!

Des Product Great Place One My Living Room en One, In My Bedroom Easy, To Start What’s Work Great

Great, and works with Tapo smart settings. Where every time I walk in the room. It detects me and automatically turns on and turns off when I leave. Lots of options. Especially the automation and smart actions! Best thing you can get without getting a actually smart switch witch I couldn’t because I don’t have neutral support

Used these right away for the front and back doors for seasonal colors. Paired with WiFi and phone with no problems. So far they’ve been running for close to 2 months on all the time and they are working great with a power outage and lots of wind and rain.

I bought these a few months ago and they are pretty cute and fun. I had a free reward to use and I’m glad I got these. Especially fun to use for the different holidays

I am really liking having smart lights. I plan on purchasing more of these for around my house. Right now I just have them in my bedroom and they're great for creating just the right atmosphere for any mood. I use them with Alexa and it's super convenient.

They flash often when changing routines with Alexa in our lamps and fixtures. Very disappointing

Works well. Easy to setup. Like the dimming and color change ability. Easy to setup with Alexa also.

I’m a huge fan of to link products. These bulbs are fantastic. Colors are amazing work great with timers on/off and really nice overall.

I purchased these smart bulbs recently and l’m really impressed with their performance. The setup was quick and straightforward, and connecting them to my Wi-Fi through the Tapo app was a breeze. The multicolor options are a fun touch, and I love being able to adjust the lighting from anywhere with the app. The bulbs are bright, energy-efficient, and offer plenty of customization for any mood or setting. The ability to schedule on/off times is super convenient. Overall, a fantastic smart lighting solution!

These bulbs work as advertised. Endless custom color selector and brightness controls. My wife loves turning the lights on remotely when away from home. Setup is a breeze and the app is user-friendly. You absolutely will not be disappointed with these bulbs and it is actually fun to experiment when you interact with the app. Look no further. You have found a quality product.

It was a gift for my mother and she was able to set it up with no assistance and she uses them everyday! She said these have made everything so much easier especially when she wants to turn a light on before she walks into the house so it’s not pitch black.

I have 10 of these bulbs between the i doors and outdoors of my home(not meant for cold WI winters outdoors) buts been -20 so far and the ones outside are holding uo great!! If they dont its our fault not the company since it does say not for outdoors. Beautiful color options! Ap is great you can group bulbs and set each a dif. color. Also have their door lovk that is awesome as well! Would not hesitate to buy more bulbs or other types of products they make!!! Not one in issues with anything and all easy install and set up!! My husband even set up & paired the bulbs and door lock and he gets itritated in 2 seconds with technology and originally didnt want the bulbs or lock but thinks they are the best things rver now! Great for ambiance or changing outdoor colors for season or holiday!!! Again this is at your risk these bulbs are not for outdoors!! If they made some for outdoor temps that would be awesome!!!
