About this product
With Nowhere and Everywhere, Unthank and Smith, set out to collect songs and pen originals that claw at the beating heart of the region. The Two Mercury Prize-nominated artists from different musical worlds find common ground with an exploratory merging of voices and acoustic sounds. Though Rachel Unthank has been immersed in the folk world from childhood, Paul Smith's route towards folk began in his teens with a love of Martin Carthy, Karen Dalton, Nick Drake and Bert Jansch, especially their fingerstyle guitar-playing. Echoes of that approach can be heard throughout this album, albeit simplified and merged with a more direct sound akin to US avant-rock acolytes of the '60s folk revival like Gastr Del Sol and David Pajo. Album Tracks 1. Captain Bover 2. The Natural Urge 3. Seven Tears 4. O Mary, Will You Go? 5. What Maks Makems 6. Red Wine Promises 7. Robert Kay 8. Lord Bateman 9. Horumarye 10. The King

Vinyl LP pressing. 2013 collection from the Soul legend. Deepest Soul was designed, both in song choice and packaging, to evoke the look and feel of a late '60' s Stax Records album that Redding might have released at the height of his career, but, in fact, it's a collection that never existed... until now. This is an album that hones in on one mood and one theme only - heartbreak. Says producer David Gorman InchThe goal of this album was to create the best album Otis never made and 'reissue' it in 2013 rather than do another 'hits' compilation.Inch the album has been produced to look and feel like a decades-old Stax/Volt LP - complete with LP wear marks on the cover! This pressing comes in blue vinyl. It was mastered by George Horn at Fantasy Studios & Pressed at Rainbo Records! Album Tracks 1. I Love You More Than Words Can Say 2. Gone Again 3. Free Me 4.
