So far being 25 hours in to the game I’ve been enjoying it. Its action is pretty good, the story is okay and the music is enjoyable. The game and missions are a little plain and repetitive but it’s something quick and easy to pick up and put down although it does make me wish they had put as much detail as platinum put into Nier Automata. All in all I’m pretty into it and am happy to have a Valkyrie game again from Square.

Amazing Game!!! In my top 3 games of the year. Art Style is incredible, beautiful soundtrack, really fast combat with summons that fight along with you and they use awesome flashy magic. The combat is pretty much Devil May Cry and it is great. The free pre order Steelbook is stunning and a real collectors dream

Gameplay was everything I was hoping for! No complaints on my end at all. Hopefully they’ll make DLC down the line!

While it's not as complex as Bayonetta, Devil May Cry, or Ninja Gaiden, this is an action game with some stupendous combat. It's flashy, smooth, and most importantly, fun. This game won't floor you with its graphics -- it's more cartoony with borders around characters objects that makes things look slightly cel-shaded -- I do like the way it looks overall. It has a look to it. Overall, pleasant surprise is how I'd describe this game. Give it a look.

Two seperate packages, game in bubble mailer which isn't great and the pre-order bonus steelbook in box with bubble padding which is great. Neither were damaged, overall good expreince. Standard North American copies come with reversible JP cover art and text on the back. Nice addition.

Nothing like Valkyrie Profile Lenneth but still a good game on its own! Only single player. No multiplayer mode for the game.

I'm excited to play the game finally. I've been waiting for Black Friday to buy this game.

This title is just dang fun: from the combat, the gameplay and to the story itself, I have zero complaints and only positive feelings to share. I was unsure of what to make when I first read this series was receiving an update, but have been thoroughly and pleasantly surprised with the work Square Enix has completed. That legendary company is only moving forward with their art and luckily, we all get to share in the top notch titles that follow. Great work, truly. On a side note, this item offered a steelbook while stock lasted. A steelbook was not initially provided when I picked up the order, but my local Best Buy folks quickly remedied the issue after I made an inquiry into that addition: they quickly took it upon themselves to search through their back room and were able to locate and provide the very last available steelbook. This is a small example of why Best Buy has been and will continue to remain as my go-to location for all things electronic. I’ve never had anything but a positive experience, from locations in Virginia and New York, to Nevada and Utah. Thank you.

As a long time Valkyrie fan I wanted this to be amazing but it’s simply not. Combat is good but not great, running animation is cringe, levels get old real fast because they are just repeated over, and over, and over again. Check it out but not at full price is my advice.

This is a very linear and straightforward action RPG with basic customization options. Reminds me of the PS3 days. It's still a fun game with a nice soundtrack and nice combat.

Game is different from the previous VP titles but it’s fine bc it’s a new character. Story is decent. The combat is the game’s strong suit. Character development could’ve been better. I’d wait for a sale .. maybe $30-$40 would be a solid pick up. Good game just not worth the full $60.

I really wnjoyed this game, but it shoild be noted that the execution felt pretty safe and at times underwhelming. The combat and visuals are fantastic while the story can hit a bit of a sour note. Overall, i think this is a great action RPG if youre in the mood for something short and sweet.

This is a fun action RPG with great gameplay and operatic soundtrack. It features very nice artwork, visuals, and character design and the battle system works well.

It is a decent action rpg game, although it is very repetitive. It might turn off rpg fans due to doing almost the same thing over & over. For me, I liked it.

So many modern RPGs are bloated with mechanics that add depth but also increase the game's learning curve. Valkyrie Elysium harkens back to classic RPGs like The Secret of Mana with simple but fun gameplay and enough variety to allow different play styles without the bloat. I would say this is a perfect game for anyone just starting to get into RPGs. This game also runs great on the PS5 and looks beautiful. The graphics might not be comparable to something like FFVII Remake but its framerate never slows down when the on-screen action gets heated, and Valkyrie Elysium has a ton of heated battles. The boss battles, especially are fun and the boss designs are just cool to look at. I'm very happy with this purchase.

This is my first Valkyrie games. I picked it up after playing through the demo. The story is campy which isn’t entirely a bad thing. How ever it is the combat and gameplay that will keep you hooked.
