Varials - Scars For You To Remember - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

After being the best-kept secret within the heavy side of blues rock, as part of the InchclosedInch blues scene for two decades, the band is now moving to Mighty Music and finally getting the recognition they deserve. InchScars To RememberInch is the tenth album from the Danish-based blues power trio, which has it's stylistic roots in the late '60s and '70s, with inspiration from bands/artists such as Jimi Hendrix, Robin Trower, Frank Marino & Mahogany Rush, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, and others.Formed more than two decades ago and having played countless shows in those years, Blindstone hit it hard in the US, due to their sound, and released most of their albums on the American tag Grooveyard Records. Despite the long run, the band saw a turning point in their career when, in 2020, they were hired as the backing band for the blues legend Walter Trout, for a series of successful concerts around Denmark. This experience was a factor in inspiring the band to seek a slightly more direct and basic stylistic approach on their new album. The blues influence is particularly obvious in songs such asInchDown For The CountInch, InchWaste Your TimeInch and InchWorld Weary BluesInch.Blindstone has always worn it's influences on it's sleeves, and InchScars To RememberInch does indeed contain obvious tips of the hat to influences such as Jimi Hendrix, Robin Trower, Trout, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Gales, Jeff Healey, and others. Album Tracks 1. Embrace the Sky 2. A Scar to Remember 3. Down for the Count 4. Waste Your Time 5. Drums of War 6. Drifting Away 7. In the Eye of the Storm 8. The Fields of Bethel 9. Varials, formed in Philadelphia, built their name on raw honesty across their early records. Their 2025 album WHERE THE LIGHT LEAVES marks a rebirth, pulling from their heaviest roots and introducing Skyler as the band's new frontman. Produced by Josh Schroeder, it captures them at their most instinctive. Onstage, Skyler, Mike, Sean, and Shane remain one of heavy music's most cathartic live forces. Album Tracks 1. Where the Light Leaves 2. No Lie Untouched 3. Illusions of Loss 4. Conscious Collapse 5. Your Soul Feeds 6. Hurt Chamber 7. (Wouldyoufollowme) 8. Silent Demise 9. Blissful End 10. Romance II 11. Metanoia 12. I'll Find the Dark 13. (Intothequiet)

2017 . Varials approach heavy music from a different angle altogether on their full-length debut, Pain Again. This mindset expands the possibilities of 'heavy' throughout 12 brash, bruising, and brilliant anthems, with the band taking a collective step forward. Varials have been quietly working towards that 'next step' since 2015. They collated ideas for what became Pain Again before entering the studio with producer Josh Schroeder (King 810) during early 2017. Booked for six weeks, they tracked everything in under two with Travis often impressively writing lyrics in the booth and on the spot. Ultimately, Varials tell the story in their own way, and it's bound to make a big impact.
