Trio X is one of Sweden's foremost improvisational groups. The trio's distinctive feature is exploratory and boundary-crossing music, and the experienced musicians find inspiration in many genres. Lennart Simonsson, Per V Johansson, and Joakim Ekberg started collaborating in 2002, and since then they have made several recordings, worked with numerous well-known artists, and toured in Sweden and abroad. Trio X is a multi-faceted ensemble that works with many projects, from concerts in jazz clubs, in concert halls, and at major festivals to classroom appearances. Alongside their public concerts, they also play in healthcare and caring institutions. The musicians also teach and provide inspiration for amateur groups. The present album is a showcase of traditional Swedish melodies. Album Tracks 1. Elsas Brudmarsch 2. Jag Vet en Dejlig Rosa 3. Dalvisa 4. Toktrall 5. Allt Under Himmelens Fäste 6. Rossini Hayward, one of the most creative guitarists of his generation, has written a sequence of Christmas carol arrangements that range across the centuries and over continents. These beautiful pieces respect the original carols while bringing to them ingenious new features. Seven of the arrangements involve overdubbing by Hayward himself with voice, percussive effects or guitar, adding new colors, but showing that he always 'understands the charm and power of simplicity' (Classical Guitar).

Sounds, tones and lyrics of this album are inspired by the Icelandic classic InchAðventaInch by Gunnar Gunnarsson, a saga about friendship, reliability, trust and harmony with nature. Every year in the dark and icy December, the farmhand Benedict, his dog Leo and the bellwether Eitill wander through the Icelandic high mountains to find lost sheep and save them from frostbite or starvation. Joachim Badenhorst & Mogil create a musical audio film about Nordic landscapes, ice, snow, cold, isolation, winds, elemental forces, finiteness, but also intimacy, friendship, warmth, silence, hope and dreams. Mogil is an Icelandic-Belgian ensemble whose music blends contemporary classical, folk, jazz, minimal and post-rock into it's own universe. The world of Mogil is atmospheric, intimate and mysterious. Voices and instruments combine to form a unity. The tension between the crystal clear soprano of Heiða Árnadottir and the contemporary instrumentation without percussion and double bass creates a characteristic sound, but not only through the timbre of the instruments, the interaction of voice, clarinet, violin, guitar, trumpet and keyboards, but especially through the individual playing art of the musicians Mogil convinces with her very own style.
