I wanted something to create videos for YouTube. I have used Camtasia at work but did not want to spend that much money for personal use. I was pleasantly surprised that Vegas Movie Studio has all the features of the more expensive software. Vegas Movie Studio gives you the ability to import several video clips, merge them together, edit audio, add images, text, and overlays to the videos. Many of my videos are 20 to 30 minutes in length and this software has not had any problems. Another big positive for me is how quickly the software renders the final video.

I have made family DVDs using other products, but like how easy this one is to use. The editing features such as transitions are fairly easy to apply. Love the titles too, Very fun to use!

This package is much more than movie studio. The Movie studio is good, on par with most of the more popular names out there. And the bonus software is incredible. Those not familiar with iZotopes RX Element. The full version is the best audio repair software out there. The Elements version has all the key tools to repair audio and goes for $100. I have yet to try all the bonus software but from reputable and reviews they are really good. Again a Incredible Bundle. Buy!

While i use the Adobe cloud, I will always have a soft spot for movie maker, it is simple and you can do anything you can with a bit of dedication. a simple editing software that i highly recommend to anyone starting out. especially for those who do light linear editing, such as youtube videos or music videos. anything simple and clean you will be able to export out of this software!

Just buy the Platinum! Don’t buy the Suite version! No need. The additional software that is offered is only trials!! So it is really the platinum you are buying with the trial of the other features! My fiancé ended up having to google for additional fonts! Pretty disappointed with Sony for selling to Magixx. I would next time go for a different product. It’s ok for a start.

Downloading this software was a breeze and it has allowed me to make some pretty nice videos so far. Still learning all the features but its a great software for creating videos.

Love how many products this comes with. The installer was very easy and I love the fluidity with using the software

Love that I can work on videos and could make dvds but haven’t tried that part yet. Can’t wait.

Movie Studio itself is fairly easy to use and does a good job. I haven’t quite figured out all of the software bundled with it.

The software doesn’t have a mask for cutting video.

It won't even turn on. No training or how-to section in the help. Wish I could get my money back, but I opened the box, so you know where that leaves me. Help! Free me from this rotten vaporware!!!!!

Kept crashing, tried several time. No customer service help available. Tutorials are useless.

This is definitely good software (4 stars) but not "blow you away outstanding". I got this software as part of a "student" deal and it was a great deal. I was able to install the video software, but all of the other stuff like "sound cleaning lab" was a lot harder to get on my computer. It's all good, it's worth it for the video editing software, it makes my life a lot easier to have a good program to edit all of my home movies.
