Great gateway into photography!
Great camera for people who are just getting into photography! The image quality ranges from a 3.5 to 4 out of 5 depending on settings and lighting but I own a $600 Fuji that is on par with this. More then enough for posts on Instagram's tiny image posts, just don't expect good night/dark shots. You will be hard pressed to find a digital camera with this image quality AND such a far OPTICAL zoom (digital zoom is basically just cropping) at this price range and with this classic "Fuji" aesthetic.
