I’ll tell you why its a 5 stars. The price and for it being cordless with the power and durability of a heavier corded unit. Used many versions of Wahl over the last 35 year, and for $35 bucks in 2025 this is a deal. I was skeptical at first because of how light it was and a $25 corded wahl I had just bought for longer hair (wack model) but this $35 unit is great. I would buy again and not think twice. Didnt get the protection plan cuz this was only $35 and I know I’ll get my moneys worth when its done. And the grip on it is better than the smoother and chrome versions. On the five stars, I think its better than 4 stars and not perfect for a full 5, but closer to, so I say its a 5 star for sure. Super happy I found this on a day I was looking at T.V.’s

The guide combs that are shown in the picture are not what is in the box. None of the guides in 1/32" increments are included. See my included pic. Only the adjustable guide can achieve any of those lengths. The eight fixed guides are in 1/16" increments from 1/16" to 1/2". Additionally, there's an AI generated Q&A that asks if there is a travel pouch, and the answer provided is yes. That is not true.

The Wahl LifeProof Trimmer is a solid choice if you're looking for something simple and reliable. It’s not packed with fancy features, but it does exactly what it’s supposed to do—and does it well. The trim is clean, the device feels sturdy in hand, and the battery life is excellent, lasting through multiple uses without needing a recharge. For everyday trimming, though, it’s more than enough.

It is light weight and cuts great, but trimmed hair attaches to the rubber that’s wrapped around it. When you switch hands, you have to rinse your hand off or the trimmed hair will get all over your face when you touch it.

Nice small size, lightweight, the charge lasts a long time. This will be my travel beard trimmer. It's maybe a bit underpowered for broader use, and I wish it was easier to tell the difference between the different sized guards (there's one that's color coded, maybe I should have bought that one) but for the price, and if it lasts as long as a typical Wahl trimmer, I think it's a good deal.

Had this trimmer for a while now and it works great. Keeps a charge for long time using it as well when it’s stored.

Works fine but it is loud. Handles fairly well and has a good grip.

Good trimmer, Many choices of guides and cutting length. Comfortable non-slip grip. Good battery life. Somewhat loud.

Small enough to make it portable, big enough to make it comfortable to hold. Powerful enough to cut even my most stubborn hairs.

It's a wahl- do we need to say more? Great for vacation. My husband has essential tremor and this is easier to use than shaving with a razor when one's hand shakes.

I needed a new trimmer and bought this Wahl.It has a great rubberized grip.I gave it 4 stars because it's a little loud near the ears. Also wish the shave was closer but it's okay for the price.
